Hardware gtx 1050Ti pny problem with black screen.

i just bought a gtx 1050Ti pny oc edition. something like that. i bought to replace the gt 730 i have. when i put it in it boots to a black screen. it does have a 6 pin connection or something on the gpu(not too familiar with gpus) im also using a hdmi to vga adapter. i alos tried with an hdtv but also no signal. any help would be appreciated.

1st Check that your power supply has enough watts to both power the video card and the rest of your system.

2nd If it doesn't have a six pin then sometimes an adapter can power the card https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Y91B8...t=&hvlocphy=1026957&hvtargid=pla-312362927181

3rd sometimes you need to upgrade your motherboard bios to support new video cards. Check into that.

Lastly check the card in a different some other computer. Sometimes you just get a bad card :(

Some require a 6-pin connector. Some do not apparently.
You're correct, even though he got the oc edition. I guess he doesn't overclock, so he shouldn't have any problem with power supply.
We don't know if his gpu fan spin or if he tried with hdmi cable, no reply.

it spins but just didnt work regardless of what i did. i returned it and got the same one. this one worked
