ROM Hack How do I add a translation patch file to a citra (cia) file

So I'm trying to turn a 3ds file into a cia file for citra, I'm going to do that now but, the game I have is in another language. How would I add this translation patch I have into it so it's translated?

The translation zip folder consists of an exe file and a patch folder.

Should I change the game to a cia already or leave it and change it while its still a 3ds file?

It is to my understanding that cia files are for physical 3DSs with CFW and 3ds files are for Citra, so I'm confused by this post.

citra doesn't support cia.
cia is importable archive, like a .apk to android device.
exe and patch files? those are used on .3ds image.

what you should do is:
1. apply the patch to .3ds version game image.
2. run the file with citra

Where did you get the executable and the patch file? It's weird that you don't know anything about the tool want to use………

Unpack the game first.
And replace the exist file with those extracted from the patch folder.
Repack the game into 3ds.
Done.

Can't you just play the English version game? Don't tell that you play jpn version cuz you want the interaction gal mini game.

uuhh maybe..

but also there's better scripts, like one guy's character became utter trash in the English version.
