This is being discussed in the http://gbatemp.net/threads/002-0102-ban-bypass-method-more-info.449181/ thread, however I believe this deserves more visibility for the forum members.

Just minutes ago Nintendo started a new 3DS banwave, however, this time there doesn't seem to be any apparent reason for being banned. Seems like Nintendo is just banning CFW users randomly.

Users report getting banned on both AL9H and B9S. Of course, there could be an underlying reason for this, but for now, be cautious about what you do to prevent getting banned and wait for further info.

No rhyme or reason to the bans at all?

Nintendo paid hackers to hack their systems so they could find flaws.

Yeah i know about that but they ain't "snitch hackers". People who say that are so damn entitled just because those guys choose to use their skills for the system security and actually get paid for their work instead of releasing their work to the public.

This is now the third thread that is discussing this. Too much to read now. My ban came Monday night, so they were gearing up for tonight, as Monday's their weekly maintenance thing. 002-0102, it should be specified what the error code is. Called them yesterday and they said it's temporary, it's "unauthorized software." Repeating myself again, hack pokemon, but clearly not everyone getting banned does, the common denominator is CFW.

Hmm temporary you say? Are they actually trying a block rather than a ban then? Hmm....

I guess I wont set up B9S when I get my new 3DS in the (probably distant) future. I'll use my already-banned 3DS for screwing around with this kind of stuff.
Hopefully this won't be a problem by the time I get my new 3DS, though.

This affects A9LH users too by the way. Hold-outs are reporting bans as well.

Can't be related strictly to B9S.. As A9LH users are reporting a ban as well.

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware
