its a typical canadian movie (with a sequel that got released earlier this month) half in french, half in english.
sometime they talk in french, sometime in english. Why? Because characters are cop from Quebec (french) and Ontario (english) so we hear expression like fuck you in english (even if its comonly used in quebec) and Tabarnack in french.
If you dont speak french, dont worry, theres a version subbed in english when peoples talk in french
Go "get" it and enjoy

Nah i've been there, and i do not have anything against you but, yup it isn't pure French even though really close, you have some grammar difference, a lot of different vocabulary and expression
I was mostly kidding, sorry if you didn't took it that way ^^

but french from france in the late 1600's (after they begun colonize north america )decide to create a more quick fast paced little english mixed with french and with time church words came in place to replace bad words.

But yea the movie is alright not a must watch but a good movie with good laugh
