A transmutation failure that cause the entire population to become cronenburged. In my dream I experienced the initial outbreak of a victim. The failure was due to the lack of a counter. And I am the one who engineered it. So pretty much a zombie apocalypse expect the mutation does not lower intelligence and guns are useless.
