Hello, so I installed a steam game: Road To Ballhalla. I click play game, but then It prompts me with a Steam Client Service. So I click yes to install. Then it shows that it is installing DirectX. For a few seconds later, it then closes. After that, the game itself doesn't open.

What is wrong? Does it have to do with my specs? If so, here are my specs:

CPU: Intel Core i7-3517U
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000
RAM: 4GB.

It quite possibly could be your specs, yes. The minimum specs say a 570 GTX, and your HD 4000 is vastly inferior. There's also the question of whether or not you have 64-bit Windows.

I do have 64bit windows. A game from steam I am able to run is Divide By Sheep.

(I got these games from humble bundle for $1.)

From the looks of it, Divide by Sheep's minimum specs says "dedicated card," and while an HD 4000 is not a dedicated graphics card, saying something as vague as "dedicated card" may mean it has very low requirements. It might boil down to your integrated graphics card not being sufficient. Of course, to be safe you could always try out the normal troubleshooting methods. Compatibility mode, admin privileges, etc.

I should really get a gaming laptop then. I have found a good one for 1k on amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N12YZ7B/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I do remember it installing something Unreal Engine related "drivers". The thing is that my computer crashed in the middle of the process.

That also could be a culprit. Go to Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/whateverthegame'sfolderis and there should be a folder that says _CommonRedist or something like that. Repair or uninstall then reinstall UE.

So I downloaded and installed the Unreal Engine 4 from the main site. Now the game works! 10-20fps though.
