Long-time lurker, signed up for the first time to ask this. Originally posted this in the noob questions forum, but it seems like a question others might be actively looking for right now.

My 2DS (Target):

Stock 11.4
Red Case
My NNID

GF's 2DS (Source):
A9LH/Luma 11.4
Blue Case
Her NNID

According to the Plailect guide for installing B9S on a stock 11.4 console, the source NNID will be transferred to the target. However, that would mean my GF's NNID will be stuck on the Red case console (and she hates red).

What can we do to ensure my NNID ends up on the Red DS (target) and she can easily get her NNID back onto the Blue DS (source) after going through the B9S(Dsiware) guide by Plailect?

Yes, your NNID would be sent to her system. You would either need to wait out the 1 week transfer period or can ninty to get them to allow you to transfer the NNID back sooner.

You will need to backup all saves that are on your gf's 2ds as they will most likely get removed with the NNID transfer before hand.

Other way around. Mine is the stock one. Hers would end up on mine. The saves are not terribly important.

So, after the guide, I will just have two CFW devices. Her NNID will be on the red device. What then happens to the blue one? Will it have no NNID? Could I then log into my own NNID on the blue?

After a week of being on swapped devices, could we do a simple system transfer from either one to the other and log into our original NNIDs on both without any issue? Nothing will happen to the exploits on either device?

The blue one undergoes a factory reset.

For this example let's say my NNID on the Target is "Steve" and her NNID on the source is "Jane"

If I format the Target device, will that unlink "Steve" from it?
Could I then use Godmode9 to unlink "Jane" from the source device, leaving it open to link "Steve" to it?
Then after doing the B9S guide and system transfer, "Steve" will end up on the target device.
The source device can then be linked back up to "Jane" somehow?

Is this possible?

Formatting the target device will remove "Steve", along with everything else.
As far as I know, GodMode9 cannot do that. Because of that, this is not possible.

According to Plailect, GodMode9 can.

But the real question is, does unlinking mean the NNID can be relinked to a different device?

OR to the same device:

If GodMode9 can unlink the NNID, can a dummy NNID be made and linked to the source DS which then transfers to the Target DS.
Then it's just a matter of unlinking the Dummy NNID from both devices, which would allow both devices' original NNIDs to be linked back to them?

All of this assuming that saves are not important.

EDIT: Confirmed GodMode9 can unlink a NNID.
I just unlinked it, then linked it back up without any issue.
So in theory, linking a dummy NNID to make the transfer, then unlinking the dummies and linking the original NNIDs should work...

EDIT 2: It does not work. System transfer takes every NNID that was linked to it with it.

NNIDs aren't only tied to the console, but the server as well with the device ID of said console. It's the reason why you can't even switch without calling Nintendo. The best recourse IMO is just to either call Nintendo, or wait 7 days and do another system transfer. You can add as many as you want but you can only have ONE NNID linked to a system serverside at a time, and you can't unlink them yourself outside of system transfers or calling.

To be noticed that "Call Nintendo" is not work for JPN.
Due to Nintendo JPN's super strict investigations of customers.
