I already have LumaCFW. Should I remove it to install Sighax? I don't plan on updating, like, ever (I'm on 11.2.0-35U).

I don't know if sighax is worth it or any better in my opinion, sorry :-:

There aren't currently any benefits to it. If you never plan on updating just stay with a9lh.
Expect it seems Luma3DS has already dropped support for A9LH
So basically it's upgrade or risk being left behind.
I upgraded two systems already and it went smoothly

OP did say they don't want to update their system. Also, although luma has dropped support, there aren't any luma updates worth getting atm that don't support b9.

It's safe to update when running a9lh or SigHax.
You don't remove Luma to install SigHax. You're basically changing the type of payload you use. And since Luma dropped a9lh support, you basically have no choice but to install SigHax to keep getting Luma updates.

To use new versions of Luma, you'll have to update to B9S (sighax). It's easy and effectively no chance of bricking. See: https://3ds.guide/updating-to-boot9strap
Alright, so I'm on section 4, and it says to hold start to reboot to open the chainloader menu. However, it doesn't open. Do I need to enable anything else in the configuration menu besides what's stated?

I think the guide is assuming you have a fairly recent version of Luma, as far as that goes. Easiest solution is to replace your arm9loaderhax.bin with the one from Luma 7.0.5.

I already have 7.0.5 installed. It says that the configuration menu may pop-up again, and if it does, to only enable one setting. Am I taking this too literally? -.-

Oh, I suck shit at reading, my bad. On section 4, you'd have Luma 7.1.0 and pressing Start should just boot you to GodMode9 assuming GodMode9.firm was placed in your /luma/payloads folder earlier.

You shouldn't need to reconfigure CTRNAND Luma I don't think.

What is inside of your payloads folder inside of your luma folder?

Seems you and I are alike then, because I read the extensions wrong. I put the GodMode9.bin in there instead of the .firm, sorry

AAAaaaaand there we go, I am now an official sighax member! :D

Just one problem though. The whole "You can hold (Start) + (Select) + (X) on boot to dump..." blah, blah, blah. It seems important that I update it, but when I try, I just get the configuration menu

It's not exactly important, but getting the config menu is normal as you were holding select. B9S dumps the bootroms and OTP when holding those down at boot and then continues to boot boot.firm (Luma). It does it silently, check your boot9strap folder on your SD card.
