So I have a ps4 1.76 fw that has never been online. (or hooked up for that matter)
I wanted to buy some older PS4 games like the first EA UFC and such (requires 1.76fw)
Am I able to play those without the game forcing me to go online and update? I know there's updates and such that come out that i'll miss of course, but I don't mind as long as I get to play the base game.

Will the console let me play 1.76 fw games offline without forcing and update? If not, is there a way to somehow bypass this? (I know it's not possible for games requiring a default fw of something greater than 1.76)

Thanks!

Yeah it should work (as long as the game is for 1.76), hell if you disable updates in settings (I think) you can still download updates for those games. Although when doing that be careful and make sure the PS4 isn't downloading any updates for the system.

If the game need update above 1.76 then you can't play
But if the game require 1.76 or less, then there is no problem.
There is no known method to play +1.76 games on low frameware.

Jailbreak that ps4 man There is no better update than 1.76

Well sure, but isn't the 1.76 jailbreak more of a developer/exploring tool than anything for a typical end user? I'm not sure what I can do with it that would be useful for me at this stage. I don't mind waiting for a solid CFW/jtag/multiman-type hax to exist before messing with it. Same reason I have my xbone on day 1 fw.

If anything, I can play everything (besides exclusives) on the PC until then. Kinda stinks it takes this long in the life cycle of a system to fully hack nowadays. Wasn't too bad waiting during the 360/ps3 days for something to exist, but it feels like it's taking longer with xbone/ps4/current gen systems.
