I hacked my New 3DS about a week ago. Was on 11.3, did the stuff and got it to 11.4. Tried the CPU OC feature for Pokemon, then just played MH4U and Smash. Earlier I played some For Glory. I closed my 3DS after a match without disconnecting from the internet, came back a few hours later to a black screen. I held the power button to turn it off, then back on, and tried booting MH. I get the 3DS logo, but then "An error has occurred". Reboot, try smash. Same story. Try a physical copy of Codename STEAM, still doesn't work. I restore my nand, they still don;t work, but I find out that older titles that don't use new 3ds features do work. Donkey Kong 3D works, ALBW works, it's just extended memory or new 3ds exclusive games that don't work. What's going on?

are you using a9lh +Luma? if so, do you have the latest version of arm9loadhax.bin on your SD card and have you tried disabling the New 3DS CPU option? set it to off, if you have it on Clock+L2 it is known to cause issue with some games.

I do have both of those. I don't know what version of a9lh I have, how do I check? Also, I messed with the CPU the day I hacked it, but not once since, and I think I've played my 3DS almost every day since hacking it. Do I need Hans to mess with the CPU? When I restored my NAND it removed The Homebrew Launcher and FBI

edit: I just opened Luma by holding select when booting, my CPU is set to the "off" option

Hold Select when turning on your 3DS that should boot Luma3DS settings, you'll be able to see the version and to set the CPU to Clock only or off to disable patches. Try doing that and see if your games boot.

Luma3ds version 7.0.5, CPU was already set to "off". I just set it to "clock", exact same result

I did everything with 3ds.guide. I hacked my old 3DS first to test the waters, then my new 3DS after. My old is fine.

I used Hans to enable the OC to get smoother framerates. But I played it maybe 5 minutes, then quit, and that was the day I hacked it, over a week ago. Just MH4U and Smash since then. I really think something happened when I closed my 3DS while connected to For Glory later

Is it possible to burn out your ram by overclocking?
Wouldn't that cause a total system failure, though? Unless the "new" ram and the old ram are on different ICs or something?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I haven't really used HANS so I'm not sure if that might be the cause, hopefully someone else can help you out on that... sorry I can't be of any more help.
It's okay, thanks for your help anyway!

Try to defragment your SD card on your pc, if a game is fragmated it won't start.

If the game still doesn't work, check your SD card.

There are so many fake SD cards will displayed as 32gb 64gb or 128gb but they only have 4-8gb real capacity.
If you write more than 4-8gb to this SD cards, all your data will be corrupted.
