Windows 10 Laptop Gives Blue Screen When In Idle

Hello, so I have a Windows 10 Laptop on the Creators Update. Every now and then while I am playing on my video game console, I see that my computer gives a blue screen.

Some codes are:

• MEMORY MANAGEMENT
• CRITICAL PROCESS DIED
• UNEXPECTED EXEPTION OCCURED

and some other ones. I've reset my PC a couple times and the error codes are still present. Can anyone help me with this? I've been stuck with this the last couple of months.

I would guess either Windows has completely fucked up its own memory management scheme (unlikely, although with Win10 nothing is impossible) or your RAM is failing, although usually you'd get more errors of different types with bad RAM.

It'd help to know what the laptop model and specs are, and if you run other operating systems on the laptop (Linux or other versions of Windows) with the same issue.

EDIT: It also wouldn't hurt to run a disk check, but if it's happening while idle and you're not getting page fault errors, it'd suggest a memory issue rather than a hard drive issue. It might also be a bad driver affecting processes, but I have no idea how to really verify that.

My laptop is a Lenovo U310 ideapad.
Specs:

Intel Core i7-3517U CPU @1.90GHz 2.40 GHz
4.00GB of RAM.

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000

With the i7 being a 35xx I'd guess it's probably a 2012-2013 notebook, and I'm sure it didn't come with Win10 support out of the box. How long have you been running Windows 10 on it?

I do remember it coming with Windows 8. If I remember, I think I installed Windows 10 a couple months after it came out.

I'd recommend running MemTest86+ or something similar overnight, and running a disk check in Windows. If you didn't have these problems as soon as you updated to Windows 10, I'd guess it's not a driver issue, but it wouldn't hurt to open Device Manager and see if there's a red/yellow flag or warning icon next to any devices indicating a failure or bad driver.
