Hello!

So this is a very Friendly Gadget, its called, it called RecommendMii.

I´ve seen SEVERAL threads about "Recommend me X Game to play", well here it is, a veyr practical Program that suggest you a game based on the console you want to play.

Systems Supported

Currently It only Supports 5 Systems:
  1. Nintendo Enterteinment System
  2. Super Nintendo
  3. Nintento 64
  4. Gamecube
  5. PC
Features

It also has a Webview interface so when a game its suggested, it automacailly googles that game and displays info about it.

About This Release

I was pretty damn bored, so i started this quick program in order to post it,didnt take that much time [Around 10 minutes maybe?], if it gets enough positive reviews, i could add several others systems, such as
  • Sega Systems
  • Sony Systems
  • Obscure Consoles Systems

It's a fun exercise in GUI, but I'm not sure on the effectiveness. The point of those threads is more a matter of having a suggestion made by real people (who, hopefully, propose something they like themselves). A suggestion by a machine is worth less in that aspect. Yes, it has all sorts of ways it can grow (add your own game database, add categories, ...), but I'm kind of in doubt whether it's worth the effort. I mean...I'm thrown a whole bunch of suggestions at my face the moment I open steam, and they're somewhat filtered to my own personal taste.

Oh, and...the first time I tried it on PC games, it recommended all sorts of weird abandonware. At first I thought this was all it did, but next time I ran it, it suggested more classics (IT JUST SUGGESTED ME TO PLAY ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON, SO THIS PROGRAM CAN ONLY GO DOWNHILL FROM HERE!!! :hrth::hrth::hrth: ;) ).

Thing is, the program is a very early stage, an alpha stage, with recommendations using via list provided by wikipedia, however, thats the points, to play mostly games that you havent played, it will recommend you DOOM, it will recommend you super mario bros 1, thats the thing, take it more as a challengue.

Using a neural network to learn which games the user likes would be pretty cool
Thing is, its more like,
Code:"Hey, check out this game!,"
User: "But its old"
Code "But Check It, here, pics and info"
User "But its Old"
Code: "TRY IT!!!111"

My point is, that there are endless games that are pretty cool, which resides on abandonware, or really old games, not meaning they are not bad at all.
