Homebrew Official Wii Youtube Channel will soon no longer be supported, is there a Hombrew App to replace it?

I just started up the Wii's Youtube Channel, and received a notification that it will cease being supported on June 30, 2017. As I use my Wii as my primary way of watching Youtube on my TV, this is very concerning to me. Is there a Hombrew App for watching Youtube that is as good as the official channel? Preferably one that features a way to watch whole playlists without having to manually select the next video.

You can probably use the Internet Channel to view YouTube, but that uses Flash so I don't think it'd work. Maybe some website will work and will play them.

Many other devices have YouTube on them, so I guess you could get something like a Roku, Chromecast or Apple TV to watch YouTube and other things in HD...

maybe WIIMC player but updated
I installed WiiMC and while the app itslef works great, the Youtube function doesn't work; selecting the Youtube option just gets me an error message. Probably because the app hasn't been updated since 2013, and Youtube most likely changed something that broke compatibility.

There is someone on the community who has a mod of WiiMC with the Youtube Fix.

Yeah, I used it all the time, it's not that good, but it gets the job done
Read the title and OP; the official Wii Youtube Channel is gonna cease being supported at the end of next month.

WiiMC+ allows you to search for and watch youtube videos. Its not nearly as intuitive or nice as the youtube app as you can't see the thumbnails, but it works, so its an option if they do truly shut it down.

BTW, I'd suggest not going down the smart TV route unless you happen to be buying a TV with smart features, these types of devices can and have lost app support over time. Not one month after buying mine I saw a notice on Samsung's website that something was being dropped.

If you're buying a new device for youtube, I'd suggest something cheaper e.g. an Android box which may be more practical as well e.g. kodi, etc.
