ROM Hack [Sm4sh Mods] Modded Sm4sh won't get past Title Screen

So, I'm trying to use some modpacks for Sm4sh, but they won't get me past the title screen. I tried using Smash Selector and Luma's default "thingy" to load mods directly from a saltysd folder. The mods actually DO load, as evident for the custom Title screens showing up, but as I press any button to enter the Menu, it freezes when it's loading (while the Smash logo is in the bottom-right corner), and after around 5 seconds, it closes the game, and a message pops up, saying something like "An error has ocurred. The system will be restarted.". Happens with every single mod.

Just to clarify, I'm running Luma 7.0.5 on 11.4, latest Smash update (1.1.6 I believe) and latest Smash Selector, too. Also, yes, I have the code.bin and everything. Sm4sh mods are the only ones not running, as I have Pokémon Nova Sun and Gay Fates (heh) installed.

Hello! I don't know very much about Sm4sh hacking, but I do know that in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire rom hacks, you have to remove (in a hex editor) the region lock. I can show you where it is in my AS hacking video, if you wish. Again, I'm not sure if you need to do this in Sm4sh, but OR and AS would crash after you get out of the truck so, the two seem closely related.

- do you have the right smash version and region set for smash selector
- do you have the right file directory
- can i see the sd card

Hello! I don't know very much about Sm4sh hacking, but I do know that in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire rom hacks, you have to remove (in a hex editor) the region lock. I can show you where it is in my AS hacking video, if you wish. Again, I'm not sure if you need to do this in Sm4sh, but OR and AS would crash after you get out of the truck so, the two seem closely related.

TheTepig, no tutorial mentions that, and I've seen a LOT of those. Also, why remove the region lock? My Sm4sh and 3DS have are the same region, and it worked before I ever even had Homebrew. But, if that's not what you meant, please explain it more clearly, as I'm quite slow he, sorry. But yeah, I'd appreciate a link to your video (unless it's here on GBATemp so I may search for it). Thanks! ^^

I have everything in the right directory, even changed it several times, but it won't get past title screen.
