I would absolutely live Super Mario 3D World on Switch - on 3DS Super Mario 3D Land made my train journeys so much quicker and I played it to death!

Um, they already did, MK8D is just the WiiU's MK8 with a few new features, the definition of a port

I'm sure they're going to make a new Mario game for the switch, (not odyssey i mean, one like SM3DL) I don't think they will be porting much after splatoon 2 and MK8D

I'd like to see most of the WiiU's 1st party games ported to Switch, basically because I'm debating over buying a WiiU right now and I'm having a hard time justifying the expense when the money could be going to buying the Switch. There are a nice handful of Nintendo 1st party games on WiiU that really deserve better exposure than they got on WiiU though ... SM3DW, Pikmin3, Tropical Freeze, & Cpt. Toad in particular. Honorable mention maybes: Paper Mario Color Splash and Star Fox Zero ... I dunno, haven't tried either of those yet. Yoshi's Wooly World and Super Mario Maker both got ports to 3DS, both compromised a bit but still there's at least another platform on which the games can be experienced.

But if Nintendo did this, there would be a lot of complaining.

there is no way in hell the switch can emulate a wiiu game lol, every wiiu game released would need its source code ported becuase the switch cant do ppc emulation for wiiu games no matter how much anyone tryed to.
Emulate it then, with updated controls.

It will not be emulated, it will be ported, that's like trying to run cemu on your phone
And that's what I meant by emulated. To be honest, to hell with the WiiU games.

Release actual new games for the Switch.

you cant not call a game ported to be emulated, its totaly diferent things, when a agme is ported all their assests are ported and natively works on that console and tbh ports are always better than emulation since you can add stuff and such :P.

there are only 2 games that needed a deluxe edition on the switch imo
super smash bros switch with all the dlc
pokken tournament switch with the arcade exclusive fighters imcluded.

I prefer sequels since these games don't have an actual story mode, and will have many new features and enhancements.
