For people with a moderate knowledge of technicality, it is fairly simple to install as it requires following a lot of steps very stringently. But there isn't any room for error and if a step is missed or completed incorrectly, you end up bricking your 3DS i.e. wiping the os from it so that it won't boot any longer. There are countless tickets posted every week on GBATemp with people who have semi-bricked or completely-bricked their 3DS when trying to install it.

No, do not use video guides, they will increase your chance of bricking, the instructions on 3ds.guidd are not too hard to follow

Yes, in theory it is a set of instructions but (and I stand by what I say) there are tickets every week about people who have run into problems with brick issues from misunderstanding steps and contrary to your comment they aren't all from video tutorials as many quote the steps in the guide. So no, it isn't 'completely false', telling someone it is extremely low is completely false. It is extremely low for someone with some sort of technical merit. The guide you have linked him to even gives precautionary disclaimers.

arm9loaderhax is NOT a custom firmware. It's a low level system exploit. (the lowest level one you can have besides sighax.)

Yes, you are correct but it's semantics, Arm9Loader and Luma/variant but even the Arm9 guide above is titled "A complete guide to 3DS custom firmware, from stock to arm9loaderhax". I'm not shouting you down but it's kind of irrelevant to a guy with no technical understanding.
