Mario Rabbids RPG Is Real And Coming To Switch. Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle

Mario Odyssey isn't the only Mario experience we'll be getting later this year.

Kotaku has recently leaked that the Mario and Rabbids crossover RPG is real and will be coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch later this fall.

Although the person who sent the assets asked us not to share them, they corroborate the existence of a bizarre crossover RPG that’s currently scheduled to come to Switch in either August or September. Ubisoft is developing Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle on the publisher’s proprietary Snowdrop engine, according to the assets we’ve seen. The game’s selling points appear to be a) turn-based combat, b) two-player local co-op, and c) a goofy sense of humor. (The art we’ve seen features Mario and crew wielding guns that shoot laser beams.)

The game will apparently have eight playable characters: Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, and, bizarrely, four Rabbids dressed up as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Peach.

I for one, a completely unbiased person in this matter, think this will be the greatest game of all time and that all other RPG's should be canceled so that this perfect game can take the spotlight. I'd like to point out I take full credit for the existence of this game. It was made for me.

On one hand, it's a new Mario RPG(?) that's not developed by Nintendo and Snowdrop will apparently support Switch. On the other, it features Rabbids, I mean at least they're more animated than the toad clones everybody's so sick of.

If this does well and increases the chances of a Fractured But Whole port, screw it I'm all for it.

It sounds pretty nice, just not the fact that the Rabbids are in it. Could they not just make Super Mario RPG 2? Did they really have to add the Rabbids? Well, I'm always open to new ideas I guess.

That's a really long stretch. Ubisoft isn't even bothering to release a new Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs 2, For Honor or whatever on the Switch so far.

This is what Ubisoft will be releasing on the Switch...

Now hold on a minute. I saw "RPG" among that jumble of words. If it's in the same style as the "Mario & Luigi: series on GBA/DS/3DS, then I'm all for it. I love those games.
Rabbids are basically the Minions of Nintendo gaming. They were good for about two installments and then they became too much and became obnoxious, stupid, and a waste of time along with all of their merch being a waste of money. I know they aren't just Nintendo console exclusives but they were most prominent there with the "Raving Rabbids" series which is why I say they are the "Minions of Nintendo gaming". They also burned out just like Minions
