Some vigilant NeoGAF members have spotted an interesting bit of detail on Nintendo's Japanese site. Before the last direct, back in April, there was a temporary open slot on Nintendo.jp's Direct page. It was removed swiftly, and fixed, and an April Nintendo Direct was announced later that week. The same occurrence has happened again, with a blank slot opening on April 30th, which was later fixed that same night. The very same thing also happened in November, as well. There's no other evidence to this, but it seems highly likely to go down, seeing as this is a common similarity for previous Directs. It's not known what could be announced here, perhaps more information on the Breath of the Wild DLC, or the leaked RabbidsxMario RPG, or Pokemon Stars, as Eurogamer and Laura Kate Dale, prominent sources, have indeed said that these games are in the works at Nintendo, and have yet to be revealed. It could just also be ARMS details, as review copies are set to go out soon, and the game is about a month away from launch. We are also due for an official reveal of Superstar Saga DX. If we follow this trend, then a direct should be announced within a week of this post. Of course, nothing is 100% verified, but it's still interesting to note.

It could just be for the E3 Direct coming a little over a month from now. It might be kind of early compared to those other examples, but I kinda doubt they're going to squeeze a direct in a month after the last and a month before the E3 Direct. Unless maybe its just focused on one game.

Pokemon games are never revealed at E3, though. ORAS was announced in May, as well. So it's definitely possible for Nintendo to get a few more details out about ARMS, toss in a Superstar Saga reveal, and then tease Pokemon Stars. Hypothetically.

I really doubt that if there is an extra Direct this month that it would focus on both the Switch and the 3DS after the last one was also focused on both. I think Superstar Saga is likely to be an E3 reveal. You may be right about Stars not being an E3 reveal, but if Nintendo wants a whole lot of buzz at once, I think it'd make more sense to wait for the reveal of Stars at E3 with whatever other big reveals they may have..

I think it'd be cool of them to throw a big stage presence like their competition and have a strong E3 showing. Y'know, throw a nifty stage conference like Bethesda or Xbox.

Huh, I guess not many people know about this yet? I read it on my way to school this morning, I thought it'd have made the rounds by now.
Seems to be a slow day in general for everyone. Expected this and the direct rumor to be old news at this point, especially here.

But the switch is dead on arrival, it is supposed to be nintendoomed , jokes aside on the sales side it might even be on par with the 3ds sales, as the time pass I start to see the switch like something more successful that I expected.

I think is too early to have a main Pokemon game on the switch, iirc Pokemon games on consoles are done when there is a substantial amount of consoles sold, it could be a 3ds sequel exclusive for the 3ds

Considering how well the switch is actually doing? A main line Pokémon game may come sooner than we think.

Still too little switch units sold, I get it, it just being released 2 months ago, besides there is a strong possibility it uses Pokemon stars the same engine as Pokemon moon, it will look like a 3ds game
