Helll-o!
As of now, i must have bricked my rednand about 30 times, and each time, i reformat my sd partition before injecting back the nand backup.. but i am wondering, do i really need to format it each time? The reason i reformat the sd everytime before a nand inject, is because the first time i tried without reformating it, it was unbootable..

Just curious, what are you working on that keeps bricking your redNAND?
Wii U menu themes

Yes, you need to reformat it everytime.
Since you want to get rid of MLC,SLC,SLCMTTP traces

^ themes and an alternate menu.. and, i wouldnt say that 'my files' are bricking my rednand, but 'i am' bricking it lol.. .. i'm testing all the possible places and method we could use to install them fast, simple and safe.
i'm using 2 sd for 2 rednand so testing are not froze when one rednand is sick :P

To "delete" your rednand, all that should be required to force a redump is erasing sector 1 with a hex editor or dd (counting them from 0) :)

It should be possible to reinsert your redNAND dump without formatting IF you overwrite every sector at the correct location without using the injection tool. IIRC sector 1 will have the info you'd need to manually fix it without a format as Ryccardo said. You could do it the hard way and search for the beginning of each bin though I suppose, then overwrite each bin that way on the card. You will have to do this manually using a hex editor or something like it though, so it's not very efficient on time compared to erasing sector 1 or formatting. @Ryccardo knows what they are talking about, so try what they said.

Thanks for the reply.
I dont wanna force a redump, i just wanted to know if i was wasting my time by reformating it everytime but Felek cleared it out :P
When you say ''to force a redump'', wouldnt it make a complete dump of the nand? If so, it takes 3hours.. way longer then just reformating.
