Hacking Bought a new 3DS with cfw that has been factory reset

Hello there Gbatemp advisers,

I would like to ask you a question, maybe it has been asked before, but I could not find a similar thread.

I have bought a new 3DS with cfw installed. But there is a problem. The seller has done a factory reset and now I don't have a cia install app like FBI. A few facts: The 3ds says firmware 11.4.0-37E in the settings; if I start the 3ds with the start button pressed it will open Hourglass9 v1.35; and if I start the 3DS with the select button pressed it will open Luma3DS v6.6 configuration.

Where to go from here? backup nand first/ install FBI or maybe a fresh cfw install if that is possible? I am looking forward for a reply. I cannot wait to play homebrew on my 3DS.

Re-inject FBI on Hourglass9 (if i'm not wrong)

It's good to make a nand backup regularly as well

Just use hourglass to install fbi over health and safety

You just really have to re-install FBI... It's not that hard. A9LH and Luma are already on your 3DS,no system formatation can remove it. Just use Hourglass9 to re-inject it into h&s and install FBI.cia after. (be sure to backup your NAND, just for sureness)

Make sure you have an FBI cia
open godmode9
select the FBI cia
mount it to virtual drive
click the .app
then go to inject on h&s

Updating luma:
just dowload newest luma arm9loaderhax.bin and put it on sd root

Download godmode9.bin, rename to x_godmode9.bin, put in luma/payloads, then hold x on boot

System region. E is Europe (and Australia), U is USA (North America).

Please do a backup now, if you manage to brick/kill your 3DS you have then an easy way to restore everything.

You can do a backup in Hourglass9 and Godmode9 (depends on which one you like more)
