I've been playing MK8D for a few hours now, and it's amazing! The battle modes are extremely fun! However, when playing shine thief, it's made me realize a Super Mario Sunshine HD release should be a thing! It would work so well with the portability of the Switch, and it would look beautiful! Now, some people might say Mario Sunshine wasn't that great of a game, but it was something I played when I was younger and I did quite enjoy! Let me know what everyone thinks! Should there be a Super Mario Sunshine HD release?

Edit : oops! Messed up the title! Meant to say, "made me want something". Oh well

May I ask you on which firmware version are you?

I'd like to buy MK8... but i want to be sure it runs on 2.0.0 switch firmware. Otherwise I won't buy it.
I just want to stay on 2.0.0 by now

Thanks in advance

As the The Real Jdbye said, it does work on 2.0! It's a good buy! Really fun to play!

absolutely, i played this game when i was 10 or so.
it would be so cool to revisit mario sunshine's inky world?

i do not remember too much about it, but i remember splashing lots of water onto ink and the beautiful sea.
the NGC has good graphics, i can see Nintendo making a remaster of MS.

No analog triggers unless they release something like Gamecube joycons, the analog triggers were what made shooting water and such more fun.

Knowing Nintendo, they'd probably doing something gimmicky like the pressure being determined by how you hold the Joy Cons.

In theory though, they could make it compatible with the Wii U GC adapter.

Luigi's Mansion originally was a game that made use of the analogue triggers on GameCube, but the second title on the 3DS, Nintendo reworked around the issue of digital triggers and made it happen. I'm still annoyed Nintendo didn't release Luigi's Mansion 2 on WiiU so I'd play it on the big screen and well, 3D effect just doesn't do anything for me.
