Hey hey. I was wondering since there is no info anywhere about this for one way or another, so:

The Japanese version of Puyopuyo Tetris on Switch is called Puyo Tetris S. I was wondering does this mean any extra content, like previous DLC etc on cartridge/digital purchase of this version? What I know is that western version will be just base Puyopuyo Tetris, just localization and no extra content.

If anyone knows I would like to know.

It's called puyo puyo tetris s because the original version was for the 3ds. This is the switch version

It's called S because the switch version comes with all the DLC that was released in the previous ones already installed on disk/cartridge, puyo puyo tetris was already released in japan on wii u 3ds and ps3 before so this new version is called S because it has all the new DLC in it, In the US this is the first time puyo puyo tetris is being released so they left out the S since this is the first time the series was brought to the west.

Was talking about puyo puyo tetris series specifically sorry I wasn't clear enough
Yeahah.
BTW is that actually true, about the bonus content being with the game kinda like Mario Kart Deluxe?
Because that will definitely shift my decision to definitely buy JP version (physically, cheaper) over the western localization.

What am I missing here? Has a credible source confirmed there will be content not localized?
All I personally know is that Puyopuyo tetris on switch is called "Puyopuyo tetris S" in Japan, has a special, new title screen at least on demo, and that is what I know.
Puyopuyo tetris in Japan on all it's console releases, 3DS, Wii U, PS3 etc. Had quite a lot of DLC, what I think the S refers to is having some of this (Japanese only since some of it is also alternative character voices etc.) DLC, or maybe all previous DLC on cartridge of Japanese version, kinda like Mario Kart deluxe.
I mean every past version of Puyopuyo Tetris has been just Puyopuyo tetris so I was wondering the significance of the "S" after it.

This is what I am asking: Is this the case or is the S there just for lulz etc.

Puyopuyo Tetris western version seems to be same as original on Wii U, PS3 etc, same title screen and all. Just localized (your opinion of quality of said localization can vary).

EDIT:
Looking through Japanese Wikipedia it seems to confirm that all the DLC content that was separate paid content on PS3, Vita, Wii U and 3DS were all included on Xbox one and PS4 versions (in Japan) And I think this means more or less same for the Switch version. Only difference is you have to unlock at least some of it (?) through adventure mode (in Japanese if you are planning on what I am planning)

The western version on the switch contains all the DLC that was introduced in the previous versions as well
