Im guessing you lost cfw completely. You are screwed until a new method to downgrade comes out. 11.4 is a dead end as I type this.

If you just updated emunand by any chance. I believe gateway will not boot on the latest emunand. You'll need to settle with luma and try to downgrade if you actually still have access to cfw.

So are you able to boot your sysnand?
I use the zelda method so i can still get into the gateway menu where it allows me to boot gateway/ etc

So sysnand correct? Dont update in that or you'll be SOL.
What do you use gateway for? If its for games only id suggest following 3ds.guide

Everything, just press getting started, choose what console you have and read it carefully. After that you'll have no reason to use a Gateway.

What @Boured said xD

A9LH. This is probably the best and fastest way to boot cfw. Luma is an amazing cfw and its user friendly. Its a timely process and if you follow that make sure to read everything! Gateway is saying that they will have an update out by the end of this month so you could either do this method or wait a few weeks to a few months for then to update things. If you go A9LH route youll be out of the gateway for that time anyways.

Also, another quick question- you said the gateway folks said they'd have the next update out by the end of April (aka this week)? Or May? And if I want to switch back to gateway, is it easy?

No, unless you want a new paperweight you need to follow everything to the T

Also when you get it there is no reason to use Gateway, it is way superior to Gateway.

Nah, you don't need a game at all, you can just boot homebrew through the browser or mset exploit.
The update that is coming in April (it'll probably be delayed but meh) is not an update to support 11.3-11.4, they're not adding that until they're done with their new feature.
If you don't have anything important on your emuNAND you want to avoid losing (eShop/CIA saves mainly) then you could just format emuNAND again (back up your card first of course) and you'll be able to boot GW mode again. If you want to get your saves off your Gateway games you still need to be able to boot into GW mode somehow, so it's a good idea to get it working again.

Edit:
You can use Gateway together with A9LH by following this after finishing 3ds.guide: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-using-luma3ds-with-gateway-on-v2-a9lh.431691/
That way you get the best of both worlds.

Ah, so formatting emunand is off the gateway menu then? Or is there a guide, step by step process to doing so?
