Hacking How to put Wii U back to stock firmware

I have a UK Wii U 32GB on 5.5.1, modded with Haxchi and CBHC. How do I put it back to stock so I can trade in at my local CEX store?

Or would I get more for selling it on Gumtree/eBay by leaving it modded? I'm in the UK, any idea how much it would fetch? CEX will give me £93 store credit.

You will get $100 for Gamepad itself and another $100-$150 for CBHC softmod. [or even +$230]
Remember to include crap ton of games so it will grab attention. I think you could fairly sell it for around $275 on eBay or even more since seeing a Wii U with CBHC installed is pretty rare sight when it comes to selling. [I only see Loadiine]

Include HBLC and bam you have buyers guaranteed.

Oh, unmodding console is unnecessary, you can't downgrade to stock firmware.

CEX are the worst place to sell it to they are rip off bastards (at least here in the UK not sure if that's the same rest of the world lol) you will get way much more on ebay.

As far as "un modding" goes. Make sure you remove CBHC first and make certain it's gone. Then just format system data.

How do I remove CBHC? Do I not need to remove Haxchi and stuff manually too?

Yeah I know but they have Switch in stock and nowhere else does, so I'm gonna trade in a Wii U, New 3DS XL and some games for it.

Bad idea. You're going to lose aprox. 290 dollars+ another 300 dollars for n3ds xl.

Where? CEX won't take them, and I don't think you can sell modded stuff on eBay. And Gumtree is owned by eBay.

Ok. How does Haxchi/CBHC work though when you sell? Aren't they tied to a game bought with my account? How do I clear all my stuff off, but leave it modded?

If Brain Age was free then you can just create a dummy account and your Brain Age purchase will move there. [Check eShop]
Then i think, you can unlink NNID just fine.

If CC isn't linked, nothing.
Also they will probably shitpost in Miiverse, not a big deal.
Hm.. that's all really. If they managed to get banned from online then they will have their Wii U IP banned.
You can always lock your account with password and tell user to not delete it, then create another dummy account.

That's all, really. Just make a instruction .txt on SDCard so user knows what to not do like delete CBHC game because everyone on eBay is your average Joe.

If you do a system format, you're going to brick
Uninstall CBHC first, reboot to see if it's still here and then do a system format if it boots straight to Wii U menu.
Then you can setup Mocha CFW and games on Internal memory and tell buyer how to use it and how to upgrade to something even better.

Uninstall CBHC using CBHC Installer then reboot and see if screen goes still into Autobooting... message, if not then replace it with Haxchi and now you can finally delete it.
