Question Email notifications on status updates and other stuff?

Hello!
I'm am currently wondering why there isn't an option to get email notifications of stuff like status updates, blogs, and other stuff. Is it just me, or do other people not get status updates?

I know, but I said as an option. Meaning you can turn it off if you want. I really don't mind if my email gets flooded.

I already find it highly annoying I get notifications of people commenting on status updates that I commented on.

If you delete your replies to a status update, you won't get notifications for that status update anymore.

Oh cool, but I feel like there should be an option, deleting the comments will make a convo just look weird.
