I've seen some old threads regarding this discussion, however I have not seen any up to date threads.
What would you guys say is the best alternative/modern day PSP Go or Xperia Play? The idea of being able to carry something small that transforms into a gaming device is amazing and should be continued into the future.

I should stress that I am looking for something that I can whip out of my pocket and slay others with it's beauty and pocket-sized elegance

I know there is something called the PGS, but really? $250? No thank you.

I created a thread on dominating the world and I apologize for that. I was high. #420

for pocket size, psp go is pretty tough to beat. especially since you can also use tv out, and a dual shock3 to make it a micro console too

Never heard of the PGS. It's hard to find something that fits in your pocket. Xperia Play would be perfect but it has such a weak SoC that there is input lag on emulators. There is the PGD XD, roughly the size of a 3DS XL and a fairly powerful SoC. Probably won't fit in your pocket and you shouldn't, but I can't think of anything else.

I've just purchased a PSP Go + 16GB memory card for the exact reason...

31st March 2018 Update:

I have bought the M2 converter for my PSP Go. I now have 128GB Micro SD card inside this device + the internal 16GB.

I still carry mine with me everyday

I probably only take it out of the backpack to fiddle with once a month, but I always have it with me, heh

The PSP GO? How is latency on the GO? Is it noticeable? Is there any at all?

I dont notice any myself, i use mine on the go and i also use my Dock to play on my TV with a PS3 remote, only thing i find that has latency is SNES and some select gba titles but not anything worth mentioning
