Mate, you're missing the point entirely. Also, did I mention CIA installation? Lolno. I said Freeshop. Huge difference.

And yes, you're using strong opinion. Why? You're talking about what's more convenient to you. Not everyone likes to use their red cart like you do. Pay attention.

Also, you're missing a key point.. Downloads. Why is it so difficult for you..

That is not opinion. It is fact. Not sure why I am even bothering because you can't differentiate the two.

Haha, with freeshop it will be just as long if not longer.

You are limited to around 1 Megabit per second on Freeshop installs. Which is 1000 Kilobytes per second. I am guessing you have no idea how this stuff works under the hood. You are limited by your 3ds wireless connection when downloading from Freeshop.

Here is my example, now using freeshop:

15-20 Games from Nintendo using Freeshop - Totaling 10 Gigabytes
15-20 .3ds files totaling 10 Gigabytes

Time to being able to play these 15-20 games:

CFW using Freeshop: 12+ hours
GW: 20 minutes

No point in arguing with dimwits like you. You just move the straw man.

Well the option to run .3ds files, also
You can still use .cia so no downside from that
And the option to directly copy a game downloaded from a PC
Besides that nothing

Wouldn't even call that objectively better. Still some precautions you have to take with 3ds files. Guess it depends on who you talk to.

You're trying way too hard to prove a point that doesn't matter. 3ds vs cia vs freeshop is all about convenience. That's up to the end user, not you. It's cute you think you have to go through such desperate measures to make a point, though. You should be a politician. You don't listen to anybody anyway.

It is objectively better just because it's not taking away the option to install cias so it just adds an option. You don't even have to use it lmao but depending on the user .3ds format can definetily be a nice addition

Your not taking into account how long it takes you to download your .3ds or dump your cart.

It gives you an extra option... That you still have to take precautions with. Like I said, it depends on who you talk to.

Well just don't be stupid enough to user public header and your fine :/
Luckily, when I didn't know about emuNAND and shit like that and stuck on using GW on my sysNAND 4.5 and tried to play Smash and it didn't work so I bought it in a cartridge. Of course it didn't work then I figured out emuNAND and since then I'm using my header from Smash

Private headers are great. I remember when people tried to sell them. Oo

The scenario I was talking about before was assuming you already have the files in hand (3ds vs CIA)

Yes you are correct if you are starting from scratch. I will update this to include download time assuming you don't have the 3ds files. I also realized I was wrong in my initial calculation for 10 gig through freeshop.

15-20 Games from Nintendo using Freeshop - Totaling 10 Gigabytes
15-20 .3ds files totaling 10 Gigabytes - Takes 2.5 hours on 10 megabit Internet connection.

Time to being able to play these 15-20 games:

CFW using Freeshop: 20-24 hours
GW: 3 hours

Keep up dude, I was making a point that is fact. Too bad you can't disprove my point. You tried, but argued a point that is 3 times slower then my initial example.

Why are you even in a GW thread arguing with me a GW user? Do you do this crap in normal life? Trying to piss on everyone elses choices around you? You must be a blast.

Gateway?
Releasing something which doesn't brick anyone?
Yeah, i wish.
Just a quick update about the latest Nintendo 11.3/11.4 firmware support on Emunand.

As indicated before, we are working really hard to release as soon as possible our new major update that will once again REVOLUTIONIZE the (N)3DS scene. :)

On my case, I use .3ds files for games without online connection and .cias otherwise.
Also, one question, Does the guide to have dual boot Gateway + A9LH+Luma install still work?

I don't have A9LH installed yet, and my O3DS is on version 4.4.
I wanna have all the advantages of A9LH without losing the ability to use GW cheats or launching .3ds roms.
Don't install gateways A9LH for a start. Just use the cfw version but you can only have a 11.2 emunand at the minute if you still want to use gateway. I'd wait to see if they actually release something that's useful for gateway owners. It's meant to be coming tonight but I wouldn't count on it.
