I was following the vWii modding guide from FlimFlam69 and I got a "system corrupted" message right after Section I Step 6. Like immediately after. The words are also not complete, they look faded. Is that the end of my vWii or can I do anything about it?

Can you be more specific? What exactly does the error message say? Can you post a picture of it?
I don't think your vWii is corrupted. That step should only affect your Mii Channel.

Do you have vWii NAND Backup? Even SLCMTTP backup will help.

I'm not sure. I followed just this page https://wiiu.guide/vwii-modding. I hacked my wii u a while ago and just today decided to do the vwii hacking so I'm not sure what I have if I have a backup at all.

literally I just went into haxchi/mochacfw ran HBL then wuphax, pressed a to inject haxmii, went back to mocha then entered vwii, then this happened.

Well, you can restore the original Mii Channel by running wuphax again, which should get your vWii working again.
I'm not sure why that error is appearing though. It's possible the install went bad due to some undiscovered bug in wuphax. Maybe try restoring the original Mii Channel and injecting HackMii Installer again?

Try entering vWii without mocha

I ran wuphax and restored Mii channel from sd and I went in to vwii and I got the same error message. Also reinjected to same result.

Try entering vWii without mocha

vWii works fine without going into Mocha

So I power on, run haxchi which boots me into Mocha CFW. I go into hbl then into wuphax. I run the injection/backup and it takes me back to my mocha system menu. I boot into wii mode, wii flashes on the gamepad and screen and then I get the system error.

Question. Why are you running Haxchi with MochaCFW? That's like running 2 Custom Firmwares on top of each other at the same time. All you really need is Haxchi for your CFW, and set it up to boot sysmenu when it's launched. And make the B button or A Button launch the HBL.

In the WiiU Hacking guide its recommended to use MochaCFW by itself, or Haxchi by itself. Because using CFW on top of each other like that is known to cause corruption issues.

That's what I read anyway.

She/He runs 3 firmwares since redNAND counts as another firmware.
You're basically wasting 10 minutes
Boot Wii U -> Haxchi -> Mocha CFW -> Mocha boots into redNAND -> redNAND is being launched -> wuphax -> vWii boot error

When you basically could do this:
Boot Wii U -> Haxchi set to automatically boot Haxchi CFW -> Haxchi again but with a command that will launch HBL -> wuphax -> vWii -> vWii boots

Yeah. Or he could install the HBL Channel, then he would just need to launch Haxchi, then when your back at the System Menu, launch the HBL from the Channel Icon. That way there is no need to launch Haxchi twice.

I could be wrong, but booting 3 different custom Firmwares on top of each other like that could confuse the WiiU system, and/or cause corruption issues. It makes sense.

Not really, redNAND is unstable because system does heavy work in the background, that's why it corrupts pretty easily. typical SDCard can't take this heavy load so either it gets file corrupted or automatically dies.

Not really handy. You could use Haxchi because you can always map it to something else.
HBLC is only useful when you're CBHC user.

True but simply mapping HaxChi to HBL won't give you sig patches or miniCFW. Youd still have to launch HaxChi to system menu then hold down B (or whatever you mapped HBL to) and tap HaxChi again. Installing HBLC is the exact same amount of clicks minus the need to hold a button while booting HaxChi.

So boot and tap HaxChi to get into miniCFW. Then tap HBLC and you're in.

There are some times that you want to already be in CFW when running HBL (like installing unsigned titles using WUP Installer elf)

why run any cfw to go into vwii? wouldn't it be better to just enter vwii? lol

i mean any cfw you might have launched will be useless and if you power on to use vwii then you dont need to run sigpatches lol.

That was the mistake. You followed a useless shit guide. I have posted several times about not following this guide in other threads because its full of shit. Some apparently 3ds guru wrote it even though they obviously know shit about the wiiu. Others have bricked following this guide. I'll say it again. STEER CLEAR of this guide its RUBBISH.
