Can i still buy Adobe CS5 to this day?

I lost my copy of Adobe CS5 and i would like to buy it again, because i don't understand this new "Creative Cloud" system and i certainly don't want to pay a monthly membership for a program rather than just having it permanently. However i can't find any copies online.
Is it still possible to buy Adobe Creative Suite 5 somewhere? Or do i have to go through this membership thing?
And is CS6 a better option? I really only want Photoshop, Flash, After Effects and Illustrator for my animation / character design career and that's it.

I'm still using CS2 on me iBook and CS5 on me lappy so yes, you can still use them.

Edit: as for buying.
You should be able to contact Adobe and forward the problem.

Only CS 1 and CS 2 are "free" (idk about CS3 tho but I think that one as well) since the activation servers are offline.

No....there are cracks for CS6 and below.

Unless you're talking about it being legitimately free. But I don't think that's the case

On a side note... I've readed that you want all the Adobe software, no?
It's hard to pirate them, so I haven't used many of them.
Specially After Effects with all the useless files they install in your memory.

CS6 is faster to load, and has many more tools than CS5.
Adobe Illustrator, I tried the trial version and it was amazing.
I couldn't pirate the full version, so I can't say much about it, only that those 15 minutes playing with it were gorgeous.

Really? Well, the time I downloaded *CS6, somewhere said that they stopped the servers for CS5 too. Guess I got confused.

I'm not entirely sure about CS3 to 5 but I am sure about CS2 being "free"
Adobe has put it up on their website for people who have bought copies of CS2 and want to reinstall it.
You can't activate it anymore since the servers are offline, hence they came up with this.

It's legal piracy I guess?

Hm, yes, kind of.

My understanding is that CS5 and CS6 pretty much cannot be bought anymore. Aside from using something like CS2 for free (Adobe is giving away CS2 for free), your only realistic options are as follows:

• Buy a Creative Cloud subscription
• Pirate CS5, CS6, or CC (if you're going to pirate the software, I don't see why you wouldn't pirate the Creative Cloud version)

But you can legitimately obtain photoshop from adobe's website (atleast CS2)

But I think it's best for OP if OP would contact adobe.
Maybe they can issue him a new key/whatever if he provides proof of purchase.

Still using CS4 here. The only thing I find CS5+ useful for is tinkering with 3D models.

I want to buy the software because i don't wanna risk viruses on my computer, and i'd also like a proof of purchase in case of anything.
A shame that CS5 is not available anymore, i'll attempt to contact Adobe for a purchasable disc / free download.
I'm hoping not to use CS2 because i want the software to be as feature-rich as possible.

I'm pretty sure that in cases like these, Adobe merely offered a very limited subscription to Creative Cloud.
