Yes. My Wii LAN adapter works between all 3 systems flawlessly.
Thats ok. I read some posts about wii u lan adapter works with the switch but i also read posts about the AX88179 chipset which is a usb3.0 that not works with the wii u just only the switch. So im confused now.

The USB 2.0 without Gb LAN version is the one to get, not the USB 3.0+Gb LAN.

For the switch? I have the old 2.0 from my Wii U and it under performs the wireless. You should totally get the USB3.0 with the new chipset for the switch. I know I am.

I will eventually, but for now I don't lag in Splatoon, and the 50Mbits/S I get is fine for now. I just can't justify it yet since my current one is working fine.

If it works on your Wii/WiiU then it'll work on the Switch. I bought a new USB LAN and then realised the issue was from the LAN cable rather than the adapter box, oh well, not gonna bother returning it. I like how small and compact the adapter is.

One thing, the USB LAN adapter in my experience only works when the Switch is docked because if you remove it from the dock it used WiFi connection (turns off the USB adapter). I thought there was something wrong with it but no, just as I placed the Switch back on the dock it booted up again. That said, the connection is indeed full-wired as it needs to be connected to the dock.

I had hoped some kind of usb adaptor to use 5GHZ wifi would have been made.... if that possible, it would suck for it to be a accessory for the system but it least be nice to have AC wifi as a adaptor. I dunno if is possible but if a lan adaptor can be made, maybe 5GHZ AC wifi? :)

What would be the point of it? The Switch supports 5GHz AC already.

If the LAN adapter is connected to the dock, and you remove the Switch from the dock... well, I'm not sure what you expected here. I do remember hearing that the LAN adapter will work if directly connected using a USB-C to USB-A cable, though I can't verify it.

Sidenote: Any AX88772 adapter with the OEM USB ID (0B95:7720) will work. Some branded adapters (specifically Apple) use a custom USB ID, which won't work.
