I expect the covers to remove themselves at the 13-18 month point (25-30 month in EU).I've found if I bend it forward the opposite way it kinda reforms it and i can snap it back in. Seems poorly designed. If it really starts to annoy me after my warranty is over I will take it apart and hopefully be able to remove it completely.
I was expecting that too but apparently the Vita has a similar type of cap and from what people have said it is quite durable and I haven't found any reports of them breaking off so hopefully the Switch one is equally as durable if not functional. I don't want 2 sharp tabs protruding from my Switch or falling inside and rattling around.I expect the covers to remove themselves at the 13-18 month point (25-30 month in EU).
Opened it once to put Zelda in on day 1.Can we get a rough estimate of how many times you switched carts? As most of my titles are downloaded, I've only switched cart once after being disappointed with bomberman.
The vita's cap IS durable, least from my experience as it still works fine even now, but I also haven't put it through hellish conditions. Only switched carts probably 500 times.
no mate, the charge port is perfect where it is, nintendo did sit and carefully plan its design and tested the console to make sure it could be used as intended.......Classic Nintendo planned-obsolescence, don't worry, they will fix this annnnnnnnnnnd MAYBE put the charge port in a less insane spot. But hey now, Nintendo isn't just gonna blow their load like that, gotta wait a few cycles for the best experience
So far I have:To be honest, the only game available for the Switch, TLOZ BOTW, has been stuck in there since release.
I even forgot the thing had a cart slot.
I will report back after April 28th.
PS: Yes I have some digital content like Fast RMX, but what else is out there worth getting on cart? Unless you imported Disgaea 5 then I proceed to STFU.-
I think everyone has BOTW..... its the only thing really worth playing, love nintendo bragging its the best attach rate title...... erm no shit, thats like sony releasing a console with only uncharted worth playing then saying the same thing. So far I have:
Zelda:Botw
Disgaea 5:Complete
Lego City:Undercover (Arriving Tomorrow)
I can't wait to play Lego city on splitscreen with the wife. Mines coming tomorrow too.So far I have:
Zelda:Botw
Disgaea 5:Complete
Lego City:Undercover (Arriving Tomorrow)
What we really need to remedy this issue is an angled charger plug. That would make it much less annoying, but it would still be hard to use in tabletop mode while charging, although I suppose you could balance it on the plug.no mate, the charge port is perfect where it is, nintendo did sit and carefully plan its design and tested the console to make sure it could be used as intended.......
fyi im taking the piss, you have a very valid point, something an "innovative" company i am sure should have spotted and thought of changing before releasing the console, very retarded to say that such an "innovative" company didnt.
Or just purchase the stand? It's not that expensive and I think the Switch's kickstand is there for "last resort" situations like when you forget your stand. What we really need to remedy this issue is an angled charger plug.
