My favorite dungeon crawling homebrew game ported to the 3DS keeps freezing when I'm on the title screen... why?

Why aren't you reporting in it's release thread?

Anyway, give some information:
  • with title screen are you referring to the Game title sceen? (the one with the Continue and New game options)
  • it freezes as soon as starting the game or after some amount of time?
  • Ae you using the CIA or the 3dsx?
  • Version of the game?
  • O3ds or N3ds?
  • 3ds FW and CFW/entrypoint?

The game sometime freezes, it's a know problem using the GPU, but usually it happens very seldom. Older version (the ones with the diagonal line on the screen) crash less frequently.

Game title screen, a second after the title screen loads, CIA version, Latest version, 2DS, and Luma CFW.

then probably a corrupted savefile.

Try deleting (or better renaming, so you can undo) the SaveFile.sav file in /3ds/meritous.

I used the CIA from your github, and it didn't work.

I downloaded the starter pack, and I do not see the dspfirm bumper you speak of.

Do you mean this?: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-dsp-firmware-dumper.402108/
