Hardware Am I banned?? New 3DS XL unable to update (A9LH LUMA installed)

hi guys,i need your help here,i have a new 3ds XL,so i installed A9LH + luma couple months ago,then i sold it to my friend,i don't know what he done,probably he do something on the 3ds,then its revert back to original firmware,then i do the hardmod,flash it to 9.2 again.

then i installed A9LH once again,but when i'm trying to update to the latest version 11.3,it wont update,error occured and restart,i try using L + R + Dpad UP + A and comes up with the same result,error occured,but there's no error code.but when i try to browser it works fine,i check my internet works fine with my old 3ds,all good.anyone have the same experience ???

Does the update progress at all? If so you can just retry it until it finishes.

Change your primary DNS to 8.8.8.8 and secondary to 8.8.4.4 and see if you can update then.

Install 11.3 updates .cias? via fbi. for you region, you can get it on that iso site or 3DNUS

You are correct.

Nintendo has this information on their official troubleshooting page about this error and it has worked for many people including myself. This was happening to me after restoring 9.2 through a hardmod as well.

I had the same issue, I was using emuNAND at the time so I dumped certain files from my emuNAND (sysdata, LocalFriendCodeSeed_B, movable.sed, and a few others), made a new emuNAND and injected the files which fixed it. But that's basically the equivalent of a ctrtransfer which you said you already did, so I don't know what else to try.

If your still having a problem updating your 3DS go under the system settings option than the internet settings option. Then go to connection settings and pick connection 1 change your settings. Click on ip address and then click on detailed setup and give yourself a static ip address after that go under dns setting and do a detailed setup and you want to put this exactly as show 8.8.8.8 on primary dns and 8.8.4.4 on secondary dns. Now you should beable to update with no problem. After you update you won't have this problem ever again so you can put the dns settings back to your Internet providers dns settings because if you don't the speed of your connection will be dramatically slower than if you don't. But let me know if this helped you update.
