Question Regarding art sharing threads

First of all, sorry if there are errors on my post, my english isnt good enough.

Regarding this topic, at which point are we allowed to share or stuff there? I mean, if we are not sharing explicit adult themes we shouldn't have a problem with the community. There 8s a reason that subforum exists and is fir people or artists whose would love to share their work and hear other people opinions... isn't gbatemp supposed to support creativity being it related to homebrew/games development or art?

Recently a thread on the Art sharing subforum was closed due to sexualised content being shared or talked... I think there was something mistaken... you are restricting someone' freedom to share his/her art related stuff... I know why it was closed, i tried my best to look for rules breaking stuff, but i didn't find anything. The stuff on the op were no way nsfw and shouldn't be considered like that. Nothing shared was explicit nor implicit, everything was meant to be friendly at least for a +12 audience.

About the stuff being talked on the posts, i mean seriously, we are not able now to make induendos? to talk about who we are? What we like?

Now, regarding the fa stuff... seriously? No links were gave, no username were gave, fa was just mentioned and that's all. Cant we talk now about online galleries? Almost every online gallery has nsfw hosted on it, but it is s natter of the user if he wants to search for that stuff over there. If we apply that logic, even social media shouldnt be allowed to be mentioned, since even twitter is used to share artistic stuff and nsfw material.

What i try to say is, that it was s bit rude to close a thread without talking to the op first and look for a fix for it... We should be able to share our stuff if we are not doing something wrong.

Heck, i have seen a lot if weebs sharing boobs and lolis on the eof, or people talking worse things on other forums, users saying the word "dick" without concerns... but yeah, bevause it is weeb it is ok to do so.

I went to the site in question and first page had some stuff that probably would not have flown here, maybe it was random/slipped by the censors so I went to 2 and same deal. In what will possibly be the only legitimate use of the phrase "I clicked on the next ? pages in the name of science" in all of recorded history I did that and the trend continued.

Also was that thread after a cleanup? I did not see it so can not say but if you went back and checked it out that might have been after a cleanup. If after said cleanup a discussion happened and "it is not likely to improve" was the end result the thread may have ceased to be.

That said weabs are allowed to get away with lots. They go through such problems in real life that we felt it only right to give them a reprieve online.

The thread in queation is from crystal, there were no clean up other than bortz getting rid of what he thinks was nsfw. And i mean, the thread itself is pretty clean already, there were just a few non explicit jokes and that's all... i still can't see the reason to keep the thread closed, bortz at least could have given crystal the chance to delete the pics that made him unconfortable.

Fa is not a pure nsfw site. It aint either a piracy site. No rules were broken this far. If mods are opting to ban every online gallery site at least give the chance to the user to edit his/her posts.

Having avatars etc of furries is fine but borderline sexualized content sharing is far from Temp's intentions, which is gaming.

No fetish were shared, there were only jokes using the word fetish, no one were sharing or giving links... come on, weebs share lolis or girl pics with full sized boobs and no one gives a damn crap

Again, it's the staffs decision.
You can take it out on me but you won't win anything from it.

Maybe in different cultures. Here, that's exactly what NSFW is. It doesn't have to show the explicit parts. Just enough to generate either excitement or to upset someone.

Well there were "nude" drawings of an animalperson, in chibi form I guess. Looked a lot like a nude kid. Also a nude picture not explicitly showing genitalia is not "safe for work" in everyone's definition.

Besides, you don't know if the user in question was contacted or not, do you?

Strange, work like that has been classified as sfw in online galleries. You can find a lot and i mean a lot of reference sheets of nude characters without genitalia that the public can view without the need of being registered or accepting that you're an adult.

The chibi one had her parts covered, that couldn't be considered nsfw since neither a genitalia or a bulge has been shown.

It is already bad enough that miiverse censore this kind of stuff just to keep the little ones safe but doesn't give a crap about kids datting strangers there :/

Speaking as former staff and just as a regular member all I will say is this. There are millions of fetishes out there but only one gets rammed down everyones throat constantly here and that is furrism. And guess what, it gets extremely tiresome seeing people attention seek all the time.

I have no interest seeing that stuff on the site, just like I wouldn't want to see people posting cross dressing pics, feet pics and similar. If you want to share that stuff go to FA and do it not here.

Believe it or not a good majority of the visitors here do not want to see that stuff here also, I would bet a lot of people are sick of it. The last thing I want to see is a relatively fun and innocent section such as the art section get filled with furry threads and again I will bet the majority of people would agree with me on that too.

Like it or not GBAtemp is not the place for that sort of thing, there are millions of other places you can share your "art" and those places actually are populated with communities that want to see that stuff and are interested in it unlike here.

I am referring to the staff as whole.
I sent a report to directly ask the staff if I could include the link because I wasn't sure if it was within the rules or not, then included said link. From there I asked anyone of the staff to send me a pm so this could be settled and answered privately. Thus if they had anymore concerns, I could follow up on them.
As far as I am concerned, this should have been one pm within my request and don't care who did what.

The report you submitted was concerning whether or not you could include a link to your FA account. However, what we reacted to was not only the request itself, but also the sexualised content already within the topic.
