Title. Earlier this morning, trying to copy my files back to my SD card, I completely deleted my backup. Now, I was upset, but I can deal with lost games/saves. But the real thing I am worried about is my files9 folder. So, I do not believe the OTP is recoverable but maybe the rest is. any advice is appreciated

Just download the files again in Plailect's and to extract your OTP (The only method I know. @Quantumcat Maybe she knows another method), you gotta uninstall a9lh, downgrade to 2.1 and install it again.

Ok, thanks. Welp, I will definitely not uninstall this god hack. No way. I guess I can stick it without the OTP for a bit

1. If you have a N3DS, you can install it back again using OTPless method, although it's a little bit risky.
2. If you uninstall it, as long as you're able to downgrade, you're able to install it again. Done it myself three times.
3. It's only recommended to backup OTP because you can only get it in 2.1. Its sole purpose is to install a9lh. Besides that, it's useless.

Well, lucky me. I just restarted my computer to find that I backed my original files9 folder up to my desktop.

As you should. I suggest uploading it to Dropbox or similar and keeping a copy on your PC, so you have an extra backup in case you ever need it.
Edit: Your NAND backup and OTP that is. The rest of it isn't important as you can always redownload it.

To answer the original question there is 1 file in the guide to add to files9 - add that = load hg9 - create a nand backup - and all the other files should be there in files9 [if not dump with hg9]
