Nintendo of America announced earlier today via Twitter that the mobile game Super Mario Run will hit the Android marketplace on March 23rd. It's been possible to pre-register for a while now but the release date was finally announced.

According to the Tweet, the game comes with the 2.0.0 update. Like the iOS version, the game itself will be free to play... for a time. Eventually you will come to a point where you will have to pay $9.99 to continue playing the rest of the 24 levels that the game has to offer. Another thing to note is that the Android version, like the iOS version, requires you to always be online while you play.

It is more expensive to buy an unlocked phone, yes, but companies like AT&T are already getting rid of those deals where you pay off your phone over time with a 2-year agreement plan. Eventually everyone will just choose to buy unlocked versions, I suppose.

It's also really satisfying using a stock device, as the manufacturer intended. None of those bullshit AT&T CAR MODE apps nobody uses.

My best recommendation is to buy older phones. Cellphones have strangely peaked in their technology recently. My unlocked LG G3 phone is similar in power to phones being released today despite being two (three?) years old. My mom recently bought an unlocked Iphone 6 at $250.

Check out gsmarena.com and do a search for a phone which meets your hardware needs. This is how I discovered the LG G phones and Huawei brand.

I like perusing the official manufacturer websites and retailers. Amazon is the big one! Best Buy sells new unlocked phones as well as refurbished. GameStop has used iPhones. Best bet, stalk FatWallet.com (a community of frugal people who are obsessed with deals).

Finally, when it comes to connecting your unlocked phone to the cellphone provider network, it is as easy as transferring the SIM chip from one phone to another. Some new phones may have those tiny assed SIM chips, so you may need to visit one of your cellphone service provider's stores to get an exchange.

I just want to make sure I understand correctly. GSM is better than CDMA because of its flexibility to go to any carrier I want in case I ever do need to change it in the future. Right?

I dont need help with rooting itself, but because my phone has its bootloader locked that limits me on what I can do with it and unfortunately theres no way to unlock it. I just want to make sure I dont make that mistake again especially when I'm paying full price for the phone. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

Sadly, only my siblings have Samsung phones so i'm not sure what the game with them is. Rooting is different for all devices. My brother has the same phone as you so I could probably ask him, but I know for sure he knows jackshit about Android rooting.

Bootloaders and rooting are not one in the same.

Think of rooting as to homebrew for 3DS and the bootloader is arm9loader. By having a bootloader locked I can only access so much and it prevents me doing the most I want to do with my phone. I didnt learn about this until much later with my phone.

For example, I cannot install Magisk on my phone which would allow me to hide my rooting activity from apps such as Fire Emblem Heroes. To install it requires a system level of access that can only be obtained with an unlocked bootloader.

Riiight at the bottom of the page it says Tempstyle. Click it and select Dark.
It should really just be the default...the white style is unbearable.
