Super Mario Run is releasing on Android March 23rd

Nintendo of America announced earlier today via Twitter that the mobile game Super Mario Run will hit the Android marketplace on March 23rd. It's been possible to pre-register for a while now but the release date was finally announced.

According to the Tweet, the game comes with the 2.0.0 update. Like the iOS version, the game itself will be free to play... for a time. Eventually you will come to a point where you will have to pay $9.99 to continue playing the rest of the 24 levels that the game has to offer. Another thing to note is that the Android version, like the iOS version, requires you to always be online while you play.

As you wait for the game to be released, you can watch the following trailer 7,200 times. By the time you finish, the game will be released.

My excitement level:

January - Super hyped!
February - Still hyped.
Early March - Hyped.
Later March - I just don't give a shit anymore.

Nintendo took too long to release it on Android. Screw them.
Mine goes more like

January cool there's a game?
February I don't give a shit. Who tf preorders a phone app

This game was put onto the top of my shit list for being the worst example of freemium.
Nah, Nintendo just thought it would be a good idea to make a 3ds free-to-start game for mobile devices, without learning what free to play games were (as of the apple release).

If sales are bad on android, we probably will just see regular paid apps from Nintendo.

Even if someone dumps the full 9.99$ version and cracks it?

How come? Doesn't the paid version have more worlds?

Yeah, cuz there is nothing to do offline after you clear all the worlds which doesn't take long, unless you like perfecting scores and such. Online you can race others and gain mushrooms and build your kingdom and stuff.

Do you know what exclusivity means? I really dont think you understand the situation.
I don't really understand the situation at hand. I don't keep up with apple or Mario, since I personally don't like either. I despise Apple.
