Fighting guardians when you have a shield: Like playing pingpong (though the stakes are unusually high).
Fighting guardians WITHOUT a shield: Like going up against a deathclaw armed with a railgun while all you have is a soup ladle.

Problem is, once my one good shield eventually breaks I'm stuck with the cheapo bobokin bark things which don't last long enough to bounce back a single shot.

Is there anywhere I can quickly teleport to and buy shields from, or get an semi-unlimited supply of decent ones?

Thanks.

Best shield should be guardian shield , that one i think it kills guardians in one hit. That one is found on shrines that have titles like "A test of strength".
For me , spiked boko shields have been somewhat useful when i dont want to use other shields , especially against guardians

Take short trips to Hyrule Castle, you can sneak past most guardians if you approach from the north, there's lots of enemies with Knight shields. And if you perfect guard the shield doesn't take any damage, so they shouldn't be breaking that often anyway.

There's a quest (Hylian Homeowner) that unlocks another quest (From The Ground Up) that will introduce you to Granté, who sells the Hylian Shield for 3,000 rupees, but only after you get it (Hylian Shield) from Hyrule Castle.

You could also go to the basement of Lomei Labyrinth of Akkala to farm Guardians for cores to make the Ancient Shield.

Don't own the game/console. Out of curiosity I looked up what happens to hylian shield/master sword.
Apparently the Hylian is incredibly durable and should last you a very long time. Like others have stated, if it breaks you can buy more.
The master sword is a permanent weapon and can "break" but then it is back in 10 minutes.

It seems kinda silly that they would make these iconic items break at all, ever.

i use a Knight's Shield that Zelda amiibo drops often then just deflect the beam from guardians.. it's fun when it's one on one but with so many enemies all at once i sometimes panic and shoot bomb arrows like crazy :rofl2:

I bought a Guardian amiibo, and it gave me a Guardian Shield. It can deflect the smaller guardian beams.
Well, all shields and weapons are breakable so it's just a matter of time before they break. It's really disappointing that shields break because it's so much fun to skate down mountains. :(

By the way, where can I buy/get bow arrows with bombs to kill Guardians?

there should be bomb arrows for sale in Rito Village.. unless you meant the other arrow for guardians..

Yes, the other arrow. Is that only acquirable by luck?
not really sure.. im in the same boat as you on that one..
You can pay to have them made them when you're far enough in the game. You can actually do it as soon as you leave Kakariko, but you have to go a pretty far out your way.
You can also find some in Hyrule Castle, or with the Guardian amiibo (though it's pretty rare, it seems).

"You have to go pretty far out of your way." could you explain this?

I've already finished the main game and been going around the map completing shrines, secondary/heroic missions and kill enemies. Speaking of shrines, they're becoming very scarce now as I have found tons of them.

The shrine about counting the stars always screws with me, I don't get it.

To be honest, you'd be better off learning the timing of the perfect guard, the window is pretty wide, and it's more satisfying to kill them with a pot lid using their own power against them.

didnt know any shield will actually work? will try that later with a pot lid..

the best shield of the game is in hyrule castle... when you fight something... you get the hylian shield...
I was going to mention just that! Saw the IGN video where it's located and I plan on getting the Hylian shield so even though it's breakable too, it reloads again. They're the Hylian's treasured sword and shield yet breakable.. wtf.
