Sure it is. Stop assuming with pessimism.
There's pessimism and there's realism. As you don't seem to be able to tell the difference, would you like to maybe buy some magic beans that I happen to have available for purchase right now?

I'm going to say there might be a chance. Just A chance. Maybe Nintendo has some sort of trick up their sleeve we have no clue about. There's pessimism and there's realism. Oh God we might as well go back to the 16 vs 32bit days.... - Mhz is NO WAY the be-all and end-all for performance comparison, and if you think it is, then it's pointless wasting time trying to even explain it.. (Digital Foundry over on Eurogamer would be a better read up). The Switch, even in handheld mode, offers a considerable leap over the Wii U, and in docked falls somewhere in between the Wii U and Xbox One in terms of power. Good enough for 1080p remasters of Wii U games any day of the week ...not so good for emulation of the Wii (not impossible, but like has been said, better to remake/remaster) and of course no chance for Wii U itself."Switch is 2 times more powerful than wiiu" lol What? not it isnt at all.
Wiiu is a tricore PPC 1.24 GHZ cpu
Switch uses a Quadcore ARM 1Ghz cpu
Wiiu has a gpu 549.9 MHZ
Switch has a gpu speed docked of 768MHZ and portable it only uses 307.2MHz.
Not sure where you got your info that the switch is 2 times more powerful than wiiu becuase it isnt, while docked its abit more powerful both in cpu and gpu, in portable it has a weaker gpu than wiiu even.
i never said its weaker, i said its abit more porweful but its not 2 times more powerful, its basicaly the same the wiiu was for like ps3 last gen is the switch to wiiu.Oh God we might as well go back to the 16 vs 32bit days.... - Mhz is NO WAY the be-all and end-all for performance comparison, and if you think it is, then it's pointless wasting time trying to even explain it.. Your attempt to be funny failed. There's pessimism and there's realism. As you don't seem to be able to tell the difference, would you like to maybe buy some magic beans that I happen to have available for purchase right now?
Also no, you're pessimistic. You're heavily confusing "realism" with pessimism. Oh well. It's something that a lot of cynical pessimistic a-holes do. Seems like every decent Wii u game is being remade for switch which in my opinion is awesome.
THANK YOU.Guys, Switch may be able to emulate wii without problem. Afaik, most nvidia shield can run dolphin smoothly, and in terms of power, that's what Switch is. Also, Nintendo should be able to do better emulator than dolphin is, but well, the really would need to put effort in it.
You took my post so literal and seriously. Smash and probably hyrule warriors and xenoblade is coming to the switch and your right they havent been confirmed but they probably will happen. When I said decent I mean anything decent or better. The Wii u had a small library but a pretty damn good one.Uh...since when does one game = "every decent Wii U game"? Where is Bayonetta 2 (and one)? Where is Smash? Where is Fatal Frame? Where is Tokyo Mirage Sessions? Where is Super Mario Maker? Where is Wind Waker HD? Where is Hyrule Warriors? Where is Xenoblade Chronicles X?
...and I didn't even mention "decent" games
That's what I'm saying, it has an awesome little library. Your initial post made it seem the other way around though, as if Smash and MK8 are the only good games. You took my post so literal and seriously. WOw you have a LOT of misinformation on here. Don't even try to comment on subjects you don't understand kiddo. The Switch is 2 times more powerful than the Wii U while docked, and slightly while in handheld mode. Still, Wii emulation is impossible on the Switch and Wii U even more. You need a decent computer to run Dolphin and a powerful gaming desktop to run CemU full speed. There is a build of Dolphin of PS4. That doesn't even reach 20fps. Stop hoping for nothing, TPHD was easily possible cause PowerPC, but Switch is ARM.

ThanksYou have a lot of hate in you, as well as a lot of misplaced optimism. Bizzare combination. Good luck waiting for your Wii emulator.
well if Nintendo doesn't do it. we all know the homebrew scene will. Thanks
