Hello guys!
I modded my 3ds a few months back when it was on 11.2.0-35U and got Luma, FBI and all that in the 3ds.guide and freeshop. Now i heard 11.3 is out.
1.Is it still safe to update with luma+arm9lh?
2. I saw in 3ds.guide how to update arm9lh, should I do that? is there a new version?
3. How do I update Luma correctly? I just run the luma updater on the 3ds and let it do its thing?
4. Do i have to update freeshop to use it? how do i do that?
so far i have this questions, they may be pretty dumb but im a total noob at this so far I have only modded my 3ds from stovk to luma+arm9lh following the guide so i have no idea or experience in updating them. Thanks.
1. Yes as long as you have Luma 6.6 or newer.

2. I don't know but probably not. It doesn't hurt to do it but it probably doesn't hurt not to do it either. I personally won't update. If someone knows better, please correct me.

3. With Luma updater

4. Probably not.

Hey there i need help about something, i actually made a thread about it in another section but there is no answer to it yet. It goes like this:

"Cannot run Mario Kart 7 new SMB 2 or Pokemon SM on the sky3ds+ 130 firmware, what is wrong?

With this latest firmware, i should be able to play those game, they says the compatibility is "PASS" and yet nonne of these games appear on the screen. i have looked to many places on the internet and im unable to fix that problem on my own so please help me. I have other games that work just fine which are: Pokemon x, omega ruby, star fox 3d, zelda a link between world, zelda ocarina of time and super mario 3d land. Why are these ones working and not the others? Thank you!"

There. Can someone help me with that?

Hey guys,

I'm using free shop but the more recent games are not showing up (not so recent btw).
I have the right title keys url so what can be happening?
you likely don't have the correct title key url (or need to update freeshop)

I am playing monster hunter generation via cia FBI install. do I need to update it or something to play online? or am I safe to play it?
if the game requires an update then you need one . . .fyi its totally safe to use the eshop or freeshop to obtain your update

3. you got it
4. the app itself no (but i would) also if you set it up correctly it will update its title key url automatically

Check your microSD for errors using H2testw. It's probably faulty.

Luma is not something you install. No CFW is anymore .. A9LH is what loads the CFW of your choice and this happens the moment you hit that Power On button of the console. The CFW comes in a form of "arm9loaderhax.bin" file, that is on root of your SD card. When you boot your console and you get to the main menu .. you're on CFW. If no such file is present, the console switches off. So it's a seamless boot without the need of having to go to somewhere to boot into the CFW specifically.

When A9LH is installed you're safe from bricks. sysNAND backup is nice to have (for saves etc.), but not even essential because an universal 9.2 ctr transfer image exists that one could potentially use to recover from a brick if they didn't own a NAND backup themself.

In any case all you must do is follow 3ds.guide .. Just remember what I said about the emuNAND. I'm fairly sure your set up uses it, so you must back it up. Even though the guide doesn't tell you to do it right then and there when you boot into Decrypt9 I'd recommend to do so anyway just to avoid any potential mistakes you might later do.

Thank you once again.

I've managed the install everything (including Luma and arm9lh) by following the instruction at https://3ds.guide your suggestions.

For anyone reading this post with similar doubts/concerns, I can confirm you can just follow https://3ds.guide steeps, there is no need to remove or even format the system system before starting the process.
