Homebrew 11.3 Homebrew failing.

Okay, I know this has probably been asked hundreds of times by now, but how do I get homebrew working on 11.3? I have my 3ds on 11.2 A9LH and upon updating homebrew fails. I figured I just need a new boot.3dsx (correct if wrong)

I use the cia homebrew launcher. Do I need ropbin or otherapp? Once I get a new boot.3dsx is my problem solved?

Update your boot.3dsx and update your Homebrew Launcher CIA to v1.3.

Update hblauncher_loader, then hold x when loading the hblauncher_loader cia. You can update hblauncher_loader by opening fbi, clicking titledb, and scrolling down to hblauncher_loader 1.3.

just updated the launcher. what is it exactly that holding x does? does that just update the boot.3dsx?

It updates the payload for loading boot.3dsx.

alright. thanks for the help so far guys. I updated the launcher with fbi, updated my system, then held x on the launcher.

after holding x the launcher says it's requesting the payload, then sas "the homebrew ropbin is ready" before crashing and sending me back home.

homebrew still fails. have I missed a step?

In 11.3, Luma's Clock+L2 causes the homebrew launcher to not load properly, so you can either disable that option or update Luma to the nightly build using Luma Updater.
