EDIT: DS mode cart

I don't care about rom compatibility really, just for messing with homebrew

Don't say "use a CFW"

use a CFW

Edit: har har, I had to.
Uh, I don't know what the cheapest one is, but you can use a lot of flashcarts, even older ones under a CFW using that one slot1 launcher.

Otherwise I'd recommend the R4i Gold 3DS RTS, it's fairly cheap and works on all stock DS and 3DSes.

What you've posted here is to play original DS games and/or DS homebrew, not 3DS. Is this what you're looking for or do you want a 3DS cart? And imo http://nds-card.com/ProShow.asp?ProID=146 is the best card from the list you posted.

yes that is what I am looking for
how is 146 better than 567? looks like same features but diff.label

I did research a while back when I was looking into buying one and 146 is what I went with. From what I can recall it uses better parts and is more compatible with roms than the 567. Though all the names look similar, they're actually different companies and I think the others you listed are made by the same company whereas 146 is a different company and I think 146 is made by the original DS card manufacturers.

Quote from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_DS_and_3DS_storage_devices

R4i 3DS and R4i SDHC
Often confused are the R4i products with similar names R4iSDHC.com, R4i-SDHC.HK, and R4i-SDHC.com.

The first R4i-SDHC team (from r4i-sdhc.com, who released the R4i-SDHC RTS 3DS card) developed the first "original" card compatible with the micro-SDHC memory card. The first cards released were the R4-SDHC and R4i-SDHC. When Nintendo released its V1.4 update, these cards were blocked. The R4i-SDHC team responded with a new card, the R4i-SDHC V1.4, the first of a new generation of cards that could upgrade the core firmware using a flash memory patch. Another firmware update (the DSi V1.4.1) brought to light that there were more than one hardware version of the card, of which some would not patch. For the subsequent Nintendo updates, the R4i-SDHC team released a patch, as well as a new card version labeled with the update number. They also released a 3DS version which also had regular patches. When 1.45 (DSi or DSI XL) and 4.5 (3DS or 3DS XL) console software was released by Nintendo in early December 2012, software patches were not released to upgrade the cards. New R4i-SDHC cards were subsequently released which are anticipated to reduce a future issue after Nintendo updates. The current cards being named V1.45, V4.5 and V4.5 RTS.

Those R4i are clones for Gateway 3DS, the first 3DS flashcard for Nintendo 3DS.

All current cards that have r4isdhc.com on them are exactly the same, only the the labels are different. They are clones of the red box one (r4i-sdhc.com). They're alright although the menu is somewhat clunky.

507 is r4isdhc.com.cn and runs a different menu than the rest, called Wood (which is widely considered one of the best kernels). This cart is underrated imo considering the price. It does not have RTS though (but the feature is far from perfect on the above carts in my experience).

So you're telling me r4isdhc and r4i-sdhc aren't the same company? SMH. Even by Chinese standards they should have prevented that domain registration given that r4i-sdhc is a government registered company.

no they are not.

with dash is original. without dash is clone.

with dash=no time bomb.

the ones with no dash usually have a year listed on them. after that year ends they stop working (they check the clock on your ds)

ah, that does seem to work. weird. also does that truth inquiry actualyl work? they eem to have done some copy pasting o info, but link the same wood162 download for all their carts.

btw simple test of clone status.

Use r4i-sdhc.com firmware on it. it will tell you if it's a fake or simply nor work at all. it won't brick the cart. If i runs that firmware fine, i's either the "real thing" or a 1-1 clone.
