Played Zelda for a couple of hours now and wandered through the Switch's UI, I have to say that I'm very satisfied with this OS system that Nintendo's using for the Switch. On the NS we can actually access the Settings instantly and without the necessity of a specific controller, plus, everything looks very pleasingly organised which is really nice.

The Switch Pro Controller is also a lot better IMO, than the Wii U Pro Controller although I don't know if the SPC lasts as long as the WUPC did. I love the technology it has. :)

Can't wait for April 28 when Mario Kart 8: Deluxe (2 items, new characters + proper Battle Mode stages included) & Puyo Puyo Tetris are released.

Thank you, Nintendo!

is this one responsive? i love my wii u but it sure is slow.

especially when launching a game like ssb, takes like 40 seconds to load.

or sometimes when exiting a game it takes like a couple seconds to get you into the exit/closing software menu.

or just simply entering settings, everything seemed slugish.

I've watched lots of videos, and it seems like they fixed all of this in the Switch, so i am hyped to Try out my switch when i get home next week.

I TOTALLY agree. Just having a smooth fluid responsive UI has made me happy right from the start. It's also clean interface and not bubbly looking (in a weird Japanese way) like the Wii U was.

I remember the day when the Wii U launched (with version 1.0 of the firmware essentially) and it was SOOO SLOOOW. It really killed the system from Day 1 from the complaints. A number of updates later and it sped it up, but it still is slow.

Thanks god for the Switch!

I see the great potential in my Switch, and if everything goes right, it will indeed be a much better home console than the Wii U. But right now, all it really has is Zelda Breath of the Wild. A system is only truly as great as its library of games.

I think this holiday 2017 (Christmas) will really be when the Switch takes off as the must-have console. Nintendo did it right by releasing in March. It will get them enough time to get a lot of games out, prep Mario, and get some major updates to the firmware. Smart move in my opinion.

Hate to rain on anyone's parade, but:

Right now, I'm debating on whether or not I should get BotW for the Wii U instead.

Then again, maybe the kind skilled folk here at GBAtemp.net can alleviate this matter.
Uh.... call me not old fashioned but why is this such a big deal? PS4 doesn't allow you to copy your saves to a USB or SD card? I know they at least have cloud storage but Nintendo hasn't even launched their full online yet which comes out this Fall.

I didn't own a Wii U, but it was pretty much a 180 from having no interest at all in that console to being obsessed by the idea of Switch for months before its release. It has already lived up to my expectations just three games in (BotW being the star of course).

I personally prefer the Wii U Pro Controller over the Switch Pro Controller, though tbh the Wii U Pro Controller is my favorite controller ever so that's hard to beat.

What are the other two games? Out of curiosity. I thought it had no good launch games.

The Switch pro controller is largely just an XB1 pad with bigger buttons. Obviously a layout I'm used to. It's been the joy cons that have really impressed me though. Comfortable and fun to use in split mode, and they manage to be small without feeling small. Even a single con turned sideways has no issues with my large hands, I can press any of the buttons comfortably even if I'm pressing the joystick toward the buttons. No connectivity or distance issues.

Fast RMX and Snipperclips are the other two titles. I already have Has-Been Heroes pre-ordered, I'll be getting that and Snake Pass toward the end of the month.

I didn't think Nintendo had it in them to make a responsive UI.
And moreso, release physical home console games on game cards. Like, many thought this would never happen because it's too expensive but Nintendo made it happen and I sure am glad, game cards have better speeds than Blu-ray Discs do (which is what PS4/XO/WiiU use).

I might even get Lego City Undercover on the Switch to replay it without always waiting a minute or more for the game to load up.

Picked one up today at Target. Just walked in, and they had it. Was kind of shocked, as Best Buy, Walmart, and Gamestop had all sold out already.

Got Breath of the Wild, Bomberman, and Fast RMX. I'm thoroughly surprised and pleased with how smooth everything has been so far.

My only major concern is the battery's longevity and how long we'll be able to use it without having to charge every so often.

The joycons are A LOT smaller than I had thought, don't know why. They feel super comfortable in hand without the straps. The included Grip attachment is nice, and the controller (albeit bulky) feels much smaller than the One and PS4 controllers. Haven't tried the pro controller yet.. but I've no doubt it's a nice addition.

Umm, PS4 does let you copy saves to a usb. I've done it with Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne to get the ending trophies without having to beat the game multiple times.
