PAL gamers certainly know about the triangle system on the Nintendo covers and I for one was hoping they'd be extinguished but unfortunately, Nintendo is going to continue using them. On the bright side, the Switch is region free so one can always order games from Japan or America and vice-versa.

Here's the rear of a physical Switch PAL cover:

Yes, that purple triangle at the bottom right is coloured differently for European countries. Sigh. My hopes that this wouldn't exist anymore are gone. :(

Why is this even an issue?

Literally never heard about this until now LOL, who knew there were so many

I hate these coloured triangles only for the sole reason it brings inconsistency if I buy a game from a different European country and then there's a rainbow of green (UK), yellow (English/Spanish/Portuguese), purple (German), pink (Multi-European), blue (Italian), red (French) and whatever.

I think it will be same what we have with many PS4 games. If the game is published in many different languages and the game gets too big, there will be diffferent version which just have diffent languages included.

PS4/XO games at least don't have this and never did, it's just an inconvenience that I have green, green, green, green, green, olive green (dammit!), green, green, green, purple (dammit!) and so on.

It's not an inconvenience at all, it helps with cataloguing games. The only order you need on your shelf is alphabetical - the triangles are hardly an issue when the spine themselves are not uniform on any console. I too wish that they were all black or white and they all used the same font, but we don't live in an ideal world, unfortunately.

It is inconvenient, PlayStation, Sega and Microsoft never used this backwards triangle system which makes games on a shelf look bad because they're not all the same colour. It'd just be better to not have the damn triangles at all.
I just hope they didn't use a font that offends you.
Darn right they did!
