Gaming Only 2-3 more weeks left for the Wii U Virtual Console, I imagine

With the Switch only 3 weeks away, I think the Wii U Virtual Console is almost finished. In EU and JP, there's hardly been any games released. I could see these as the final VC games on the Wii U before the NS VC takes over on March 3, if the VC is ready at launch.

It would be pretty cool if the NS was hacked to run any 3DS or Wii U VC games, but I doubt it.

Wow, i'm surprised super smash bros brawl wasn't on VC but N64 smash bros is.

It be sweet to inject a brawl mod into wii u system menu and play with game pad, or gamecube controllers.

I always wonder why nintendo is stingey with the choice of games for virtual console? A Melee port has been high demand with HD for years and never do it. Just wait until you are hated enough for the dumb mistakes to drop it on us like Final Fantasy 7 remake huh?

Are you saying i'm wrong? Or do we have to look at the ps4 reveal of final fantasy 7 again?

No i'm not implying, i'm saying that until they decied to announce a remake for final fantasy 7 that they have been hate among them for it. Incluing the PC re-release of Final fantasy 7, being a square enix store purchase, coming with midi files instead of the original music files, then finally getting a steam port, then announcing the PC port will be on PS4. To finally saying a remake is now in production. Yes i am saying they were hated for that.

While i do think is okay, is not better than brawl by any means. Is missing some content brawl had, including a full scale adventure mode. While brawl had the sub space mission, various bosse and stages based platforming, bunch of game modes like tournement, mini games and such, most of it is either missing or done differently, trophy slot machine are replaced with a store you can buy random trophies with, as well as trophy rush, no adventure mode, no tournement mode, missing some special brawl modes, "CHARACTERS" and others.

To be honest, i think that this specific version of smash bros was focused more on the competitive aspect of the game, which is probably why i feel the game has been getting mixed opinions. It focused more on multiplayer in some ways and i guess that what they hoped for. 8 players is nice and all, but why can't it be done online? Also why do so many single player modes require Coins to even participate? You need coins to play harder difficulty in classic mode, and if you lose you lose coins and difficulty decreases, so you can never finish it on harder difficulty that way. Master's orders requires coins to play, and the crazy order require tickets you get at complete random. Smash tour is probably the most unused game, not sure about the smash run though, and the 3DS game is missing even more than wii u, the fact the rom file size is like less than 1.5 GB is bad, when games do exist up to 3GB, what reason could they have for not using all of the space for content?

Well final fantasy 4 is best final fantasy anyway.

Well since Zelda is getting DLC up until december 2017 on the Wii U they could easly throw some VC in the meantime. It's not like 13 million wii u users will just vanished like that.

For your information, i played final fantasy 7 first on a original playstation, and i own a ps3 downloaded Playstation store version, PC Steam version and ps4 version of the game. But final fantasy 4 is just better as in is been enhanced, while FF7 is the exact same game on all ports, until this remake is made i will stand by my claim as ff4 being my favorite.

There is no need to speak negative of someone elses opinion, or make it seem like your opinion is absolute righteousness. Get used to others not agreeing with you cause it happens to everyone.

because 6 was the last of the SNES games. I was younger when it came out, so maybe it's nostalgia. Dunno. FFIV was fun, but I played the original hard mode and could never quite beat the final boss. FF6 was the best of the bunch, as far as I'm concerned. It's still one of my favorites, and it's a shame it's never gotten a proper re-make or update.

Same here, I like 4 more than Melee though, I find Melee to be way too fast (not the framerate, but animations) and feels way too floaty for me.

True this. But some people may have a Wii U only and still want to play the only Mario Kart game with an actual Captain Falcon in it instead of just his outfit and vehicle.

Other than Super Mario RPG, we're missing a lot of classics like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Final Fantasy II, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest, ActRaiser, Soul Blazer, and Illusion of Gaia.

The music was pretty good but overall it was still the weakest entry in the franchise. Even SSB4 on 3DS and Wii U were better games. I miss the target mini-game, though. Melee is still the best SSB game.

FFVI is far and away the best. Much of the love for VII is Playstation nostalgia. Trying to go back and play VII is a chore that wears out its welcome very quickly. It was all edgy graphics and edgy characters, but the story really was lacking. VI on the other hand hand a full cast of interesting characters.
