My system is the New 3DS XL v.11.3.0-36U, and my homebrew method is through SoundHax. I do not have CFW or a R4. With these circumstances, is there a way to play DS games on my 3DS' 2GB SD card? Thanks for helping out!

No there isnt
Im gonna say an R4 card is cheap but 2 things:
1. you have to pay more for the microsd
2. you have probably heard people say this everywhere you go

Yeah, I found out about that recently. I was wondering if there was an alternate method.
DS game loading is so new right now that it isn't even out of "beta" yet. There's not going to be an alternative for a while. TO be honest, if you're wanting to play DS games you should just pick up a DSTwo. Works on stock firmware right out of the box. Otherwise, you'd be better off picking up an 11.2 or lower 3DS and selling your current one if you want to hack in any way.

What's the difference between DSTwo and R4?

dstwo has an extra chip in it to make it faster and has more features (i think i dont own one)
an r4 is just a card that can run a firmware that can run ds games

im not sure but i think thats the difference
correct me if im wrong
Thank you. Is the DSTwo easy to get? Might get one for my birthday.

You should be able to just order one. But @Mnecraft368 says that the R4 is working fine too, so that would likely be cheaper for you.
i think i checked my R4 on 11.1 though, on the 24th im getting some more micro sd cards so ill check then, your profile says your birthday isnt until late march so you should get someone to check R4 is working (or look it up) before buying an R4 unless your getting DSTWO

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

What I mean is, is there a reliable site to get one or do I have to jump through hoops to find a reliable site?
I think the dstwo site has a page of retailers, ill check hold on

3DS with a DStwo is a pretty sweet combo right now. Gotta use that cart slot for something.

Main advantage of the DStwo is real-time save states and real-time cheats. Other carts work on the 3DS I believe but DStwo is the best bet.
