It doesn't hold a charge very long.

Let me clarify, the Wii U's pad never held a charge very long but now it shows the red light after about 24 hours.

The average battery life of a Wii U gamepad is about 3-5 hours.

Yeah that's 3-5 hours of gameplay time, I'm talking 24 hours without using it and I have to recharge. See the difference? We don't have to charge them EVERY 3-5 hours do we?

Perhap you should be clearer next time. How much gameplay time do you get out of it?

No perhaps you should use a bit more common sense my first post said I'm having to charge it after 24 hours if you know the battery life is 3-5 hours why would you think I meant 24 hours of gameplay time? That makes no sense at all.

There are replacement kits on the Nintendo store and on Amazon, they are pricey but are easily replaced.

Thanks for addressing the issue. So I can't just buy a certain kind of battery and take a screwdriver and replace it?

Forgive me for a.) Trying to get you to be more specific, and b.) Trying to see if your battery replacement is even necessary. I was going to offer my experiences taking apart Wii U gamepads, but you obviously don't want them.

Edit: And I didn't think you had a magical 24-hour Gamepad.
