Fan subs, what about fan dubs? (Above and beyond normal game translations)

I dunno if is been done already but i figured i ask. Are there any fan dubs to fan translations of games? I would think yeah it takes a lot off work as it is to translate a huge game, not to mention needing to hack the game itself before a translation can be injected and other such things but i was curious if anyone took it a step further and did their own dub for it. Maybe many won't care for this but i surely would like to see it happen. :)

I think Chaos Wars on PS2 taught us why this would be a bad idea. The CEO of the company had his family record the voices and well, I think it speaks for itself:
