Hardware Can anyone confirm if new batch of 3DSes are on 11.3?

I saw a comment on one of Smealum's tweets by someone who claimed that the latest batch of 3DSes come with 11.3, but I haven't heard this from anywhere else. Can anyone confirm finding a 3DS on 11.3 out of the box? If it's true, the timing would explain why the supply was so low over the holidays.

Personally, I don't think currently they will being it only was released not long ago, it takes a long time to manufacture and ship to the stores etc. unless it was refurbished then potentially

Here in Europe has been a huge lack of N3DS non XL for almost 5-6 months, if they were planning this, they nailed it...

unless they had 11.3 ready to go 2 months ago already, you shouldn't really find that firmware in current stock and probably not for 4-8 more weeks. if at all

Normally I would agree, but someone claimed that the new stock has 11.3, so I'm asking for confirmation.

Additionally, there was a 3DS drought over the holiday season, and the new restocks were timed pretty close to the new firmware update. It's entirely possible Nintendo could have planned this. /tinfoilhat

Just bought a new 3ds xl galaxy from my local gamestop and it came with 11.2, serial QW1237. The guy behind the counter said it came in "last week", so if any local stores still have stock people should still be good to go for a bit.

Currently crossing my fingers that the refurb FE edition I ordered today is also not yet fucked. Will update once I get that.

I've already got one report of a new 11.2 with partial serial number, so I don't need to be. Here's hoping more reports come in.

not only has the stock been so low for months, Bestbuy.com recently stocked up for like 30 min N3DSXL Black and i quickly bought one and chose 2-day shipping, my order has since been backordered.. RIP this will come with 11.3 for sure.

11.3 has been out for 5 days.
It takes 8-10 weeks to manufacture and ship a 3ds from china.
If you buy a (new outta box) 3ds with 11.3, it was a return.

That would imply that Nintendo was aware of safehax/fasthax before it was publicly released and they fixed it 'months ago'.
I think Nintendo must have just recently patched it, and pushed the update ASAP so it's very unlikely any units manufactured since before last week are on latest firmware. The ones being manufactured now will be on latest firmware most likely, but you won't see them in stores for a couple of months. From what we've seen earlier, their distribution time has been around about 6-8 weeks

Not likely, but there is a possibility. I managed to get the Singapore/Malaysia/UAE one that is a repackaged NTSC-U, on 11.2. it's very likely the sets that are coming out to USA later this month have already been sent to the distributors, so unless Nintendo open the sealed boxes and update, or ask their distributors to (I read they had once asked Amazon to do this, but not sure if it's true), it should be on 11.2.
