Hacking How long for a Gatewaay Update for new FW in past versions?

Hi,

i have a quick question: How long have it been taken until Gateway released an Update until a new FW came up?

Just asking because i can't find everything about this.
A few days i can wait for a new release from GW. In the meantime i try to use an NTR Plugin and Hope that

I hope it doesn't take several Weeks or months for them to make it run because i need GW with Sysnand for cheats because it has the best Cheat DB and functions. Also some very usefull Cheats in different Games can't be convert to a NTR Plugin and if i want to use those cheats i you have to reboot and load the Gateway Mode.

I liked to know how long it was before a fix came out after a Nintendo Update. For this info you only need the info when the fw was published and when the Gateway fix for this update to make it working again.

Hope there will be also a program soon which can disable the new check method. Then at least people with already installed a9lh could deactivate the check like it's been done for the other checks too. So would be a nice feature because every homebrew app etc. would still work the way as they do it now.
Only thing could be that it's hard to reverse engineer the new firmware to find the correct possition when the checks works and how it works. After that the rest should be an easy job to implement this into Luma so it disables the check before homemenu starts if i did not misread a lot aboute the checks that are already been patched by CWF's like luma.

Normally it gets fixed in a day or two. At most so far (as far as I can remember) was a week or so?

It can take between a couple of days to months, if ever. I'd probaby guess a week or two. It's quite hard to tell because there are times when they get things out pretty quickly much to our surprise while it took nearly forever to introduce some major features.

Hmm ok thanks for your answers. Then i think i stay at 11.2 and hope that there will be a quick fix for it.

Also hope Homebrew Launcher Loader get's fixed soon because thats the two tools i use very often.

You do realise that someday GW will disappear regardless of how long they have been going for? Never put your eggs in one basket and always have a plan B ready.

It doesn't take too much time, normally.

The last time they seemed to do an "urgent update" to support 11.2, 3.7.1 -> 3.7.2

But it was like they didn't took the source from the 3.7.1 to make the 3.7.2, and made the patch from the 4.0 (1% of the a9lh feature finished) because it's wasn't very stable in the home menu.

Now maybe they are dead, or have a plan to have more consumer, because now flashcard are not really needed.

Yeah at that Point you are write, but i hope this will happen in ~10 Jahren, dann kommt da noch einiges Und gerade bei Pokemon (was ich hauptsächlich spiele mit Cheats) i dont think they will not shutdown the serversso that people arent able to play online..

But especially what alternative is there on the marked for playing Games with the Gateshark Codes?
I know of NTR and saw that there are almost any Cheats implemented even if the had the label can't be transfered ....)
So on my New 3DS XL i can use NTR in the hope that this Software doesn't die for a minimum of 100 Years

I also own a old 3ds xl and as everyone knows: NTR doesnt work with Games that are using the extended memory Mode so on this console i need Gateway or ips Patches for everey Code. But i don't know how these codes are stored in the ips File. Also when i remember right these Files you can only edit with an hexeditor and there my knowledge ends. Or are they created in another way?
Than it would be really great, if someone has a link to a tutorial or can explain it to me via PN. Because the offsets that have to be modified are known or can be read from the NTR Plugin.
Or which Codes do i need?
The Gateshark or the converted for the NTR Plugin.

For example: The infinite Z Moves" Cheat. There is a note that it cant be converted to NTR but here exists a plugin that have this cheat included.
Because it would be great if i could do my own ips patches with the cheats i want

If Gateway would run then i wouldn't need NTR which is the reason i bought 2 Red Gateway cards

I dusted out my 3ds a week ago and kept postponing udating emunand...and the 11.3 came out.
Nice timing.
Now I'm stuck on 9.9 and some stuff doesn't work.
Maybe it won't work on 11.3 too, but it would be nice to know for sure.

Even if GW is overall bullshit, they still have two things that Luma and NTR will likely never have: a good cheat engine, and exFAT support.

You can downgrade strait to 2.1 from 9.9 though.
In fact, the entire point of updating to 11.2 was to use one of their downgrade exploits.

i think Gateway still support their product, so they can create trust on their next products on the future (maybe Gateway Switch ) they are trying to resolve problem with new filmware as "SOON" as possible, making a new GW version and i'm waiting for it too

11.3 were just usefull for acessing eshop atm
